 General Information & Park Policies
Alcohol Beverage Policies You must be 21 years of age
and provide a valid state-issued driver’s license with photo
to purchase, possess or consume alcoholic beverages at
Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom. The Ohio revised code prohibits
bringing beer, wine or intoxicating liquor on Geauga Lake & Wildwater
Kingdom property, including the picnic pavilions, or leaving the Park
with alcohol purchased here. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in
line for any ride.
Cameras/Electric devices Cameras, recording devices,
and/or photography equipment are not permitted on rides, in
theatres/ performance areas or in any other restricted areas.
Large “boom box” radios and other electric sound or musical devices,
with the exception of personal music players, are not permitted in the
Park. Videotaping on rides or during shows is strictly prohibited.
Disabilities For our guests with disabilities, Geauga Lake &
Wildwater Kingdom provides a Rider Safety Guide available at the
Park Entrances or Guest Services to assist in planning your day.
Dress Code Shirts, shorts/pants and shoes must be worn
at all times, including when entering or leaving the Park.
Profanity, obscene gestures, obscene statements, pictures of
illegal substances, motorcycle colors, insignias of para-military groups, all
gang related items on clothing and costumes or disguises are prohibited.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone who refuses to
comply with the dress code summarized above. If you have any concerns
about your dress, please contact Guest Services.
NOTICE: It is illegal to carry a firearm, deadly weapon or
dangerous ordnance anywhere on Geauga Lake & Wildwater
Kingdom property. Unless otherwise authorized by law, no
person shall knowingly possess, have under the person’s control, convey
or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance on
Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom property. Posted pursuant to Ohio
Revised Code.
Guests of Exceptional Size All passenger restraint systems,
including lap bars, shoulder harnesses, and seatbelts, must be
positioned, fastened and tightened properly to allow guests to
ride. Due to rider restraint systems, guests of exceptional size may not be
accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited
to, guests who exceed 6'2" or those who exceed 250 pounds, have a
46" waistline or a 54" chest.
Line Jumping Line jumping/line cutting or holding places in
line is not permitted. Guests are not permitted to save places
in line or exit the line and return for any reason. Guests who
violate this policy may be ejected from the Park without a refund.
Paging/Park Announcements Geauga Lake &
Wildwater Kingdom does not have a public address system
available for use by separated parties, so please arrange
times where members of your group can meet. Guests are welcome to
leave messages at Guest Services.
Rides Due to maintenance and other circumstances, at
certain times some rides and attractions may not be open
to the public. Stuffed animals/prizes, cameras, cell phones,
pagers, backpacks, food/beverages, etc. are not permitted on rides.
Please leave these items with a non-rider, or in a public locker.
Rider requirements For your safety, please adhere to all
ride height/weight restrictions. All height, weight, size and
health-restricted rides are identified at each ride entrance.
Pregnant women, guests with back, neck or heart troubles, or who
have had a recent surgery may be prohibited from riding certain rides.
Please refer to posted signs at ride entrances. Rider Safety Guides are
available at both Park entrances.
Same Day Re-Entry To leave the Park and return the
same day, you must get your hand stamped before you exit
the front gate and re-enter through the Re-admission Gate.
Service Animals Service Animals are welcome at Geauga
Lake & Wildwater Kingdom. All service animals must
remain physically controlled on a leash or harness at all
times. Guests should use the same attraction entrance procedures as
described for Special Access and may take advantage of our Parent
Swap Policy for care of the animal. Due to the aggressive nature of
most rides, service animals must remain with a non-riding member of
the Guest’s party. Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom ride hosts and
hostesses are not permitted to take control of service animals. Limit
one service animal per guest.
Smoking Smoking is only permitted in designated
smoking areas. Please see map for locations. Smoking is
strictly prohibited in ride queue line/areas, all enclosed
buildings, restrooms, restaurants, Wildwater Kingdom, Happy
Harbor Net Area, Kidworks and all show areas.
Weather conditions At Geauga Lake & Wildwater
Kingdom, nothing is more important than your safety. Rides
may shut down due to lightning in the area, strong winds,
rain or other weather conditions as decided by Park management. The
rides will re-open just as soon as we can assure a totally safe operation.
We are sorry, no refunds or rain checks will be given for any reason
once Guests enter the Park.

Automatic Teller Machines ATM’s are located throughout
the park. Please check the park map for locations.
Checks/Travelers Checks Geauga Lake & Wildwater
Kingdom does not offer check-cashing options, however we
will cash traveler’s checks and money orders for U.S. currency
at Guest Services with proper identification.
Credit Cards VISA, MasterCard, American Express and
Discover cards are accepted with proper ID for park admission
and at most retail and food locations. Please refer to your park
map for locations of food concessions that accept credit cards.
Currency Exchange Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom
accepts only U.S. Currency, but Canadian Currency can be
exchanged at Guest Services.
First Aid A First Aid Station is located near the Head Spin
roller coaster and next to the Wildwater Kingdom entrance.
Paramedics and E.M.T’s are on duty at all times. Over the
counter medications are available at select gift shops. Please see Guest
Services for details.
Height Check For your convenience we provide a height
check at Guest Services so our smaller Guests know which
rides are available to them. For the safety of your child, a
standard play shoe that does not contribute excessively to the child's
height will be permitted. Platform shoes, for example, are not permitted
to be worn to help a child meet a height requirement. We reserve the
right to ask that shoes be removed to ensure that a child's height
is not being artificially enhanced or manipulated. This is a courtesy
service to help you plan your day and does not replace measurements at
individual rides.

KidTrack KidTrack wristbands are available at Guest
Services at the Main Gates. Adults write their 10-digit cell
phone number on the wristband and fasten it around the
child’s right wrist. The reason for the wristband should be explained to
children, and they should be instructed to go to the nearest uniformed
employee if they become separated from adults. If adults and children
become separated, the Geauga Lake employee who finds the separated
child will activate the KidTrack system. The cell phone number on the
wristband will be called and it will be explained where the child is being
safely kept until the parties are reunited. Adults should make sure to
leave cell phones on in case location through the KidTrack system
becomes necessary.
Lockers Public Lockers are available for rent throughout the
park and on a first-come, first-served basis. Please refer to
your park map for locations.
Lost & Found All items found are turned in to our Lost
and Found, located in Guest Services at both Main Gates.
All searches for lost items on attractions can only be conducted
at the end of that operating day. Please visit Lost and Found to fill out
a Lost Item Report to ensure your item will be returned to you if it is
found. Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom is not responsible for any
articles lost, stolen, or misplaced.
Parent Swap If you have small children and want to ride
some of the rides with height requirements, try our Parent
Swap program. One responsible person may wait with the
child on the midway near the exit while the rest of the party enters
the line. When the party in line has ridden and exited, the person who
waited with the child may enter the ride through the exit and ride. You
must obtain a Parent Swap Boarding Pass at Guest Services to take
advantage of this offer.
Public Picnic Facilities With the exception of special diet/
need items (which may be kept in a small cooler), outside food
and beverages are not permitted in the park. Picnic baskets
and coolers are welcome at the public pavilions outside the Geauga
Lake main entrance underneath the Villain roller coaster. Geauga Lake
& Wildwater Kingdom is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen.
No alcoholic beverages or grilling permitted in public picnic facilities.
Rental Center Wheelchair and stroller rentals are available
for rent at the main entrances. Due to the limited number of
wheelchairs and strollers available daily, they are provided on
a first-come, first-served basis, and are not able to be reserved. Please
check locations for daily rental costs.
Rest Rooms/Drinking Fountains Located throughout the
Park. Refer to map symbols for locations.
Telephones Public Pay Telephones are available at Geauga
Lake & Wildwater Kingdom, located just inside both main
entrances. Change for pay phones is available at Guest Services.
