find that the following works out a nice bone colour, i used it on some chosen to make some nice

bone colour robes.

Prime: White or black doesn't matter
Basecoat: Dheneb Stone ( nice even coat)
Wash with gryphonne sepia.
Then highlight with bleach bone, leaving the darkened colours from the wash.
Then highlight again with a 50:50 mix of bleach bone to skull white.
Followed by a very final highlight of probably 80:20 mix of skull white to bleach bone.

Step1: Paint a coat of Bestial Brown. Doesn't have to be neat, just has to be over the areas you
want to paint bone.
Step2: Apply Menoth White Base or Bleached Bone over Bestial Brown. Will take roughly 3 coats of
Menoth White Base to cover smoothly and probably 4+ coats of Bleached Bone for the same effect.
Step3: Apply Gryphonne Sepia over chosen bone colour.
Step4: Add highlights around edges. Chosen bone colour to start around all edges, followed by a
1:1 coat of bone plus white around sharp edges and middles of areas. (I.e. Top and bottom of knee
pads, and above the foot, etc.).

spray white primer, then 1 or 2 coats of gyphonne sepia. I think it would get you to the same place,
with a lot less effort. Finally a drybrush or highlight with bleached bone

Pure white is very difficult to make look good -- it's hard to give any shading *and* make
it very crisp and white. White base, then Skull White, then a very light blue or gray wash,
then Skull White again _should_ work ok. It worked pretty well for my snow-themed
Dark Eldar.
the simplest way would be to paint it bleached bone.
Then you'll pull out ridges and high points with drybrush of skullwhite. You should also

apply a wash of Bedab Black, Gryphonne Sepia, or Devlan Mud to accentuate the
recesses. This will give you a many tiered feel

Mixed Bleached Bone and Skull white on Edges

Lightly drybrush the edges (working from the edge of the plate inward) with Bleached Bone

For the bone-colored Deathwing armor, start out with an undercoat of Skull White Spray Paint.
Then, basecoat the model with Graveyard Earth. Once the Graveyard Earth is dry, wash the
model with some watered-down Brown Ink and make sure the wash gets in all the crevices. N.B.
Brown ink is still produced by Cote D'arms the previous manufacturer of games workshop paints
(or one of em anyway) you can buy it from MaelstromGames.com, aside from this graveyard
may need more than one coat but since you are starting from white it should be ok with just
one.
2) Next, for the second basecoat, apply a 2:1 mix of Bleached Bone to Graveyard Earth. Leave
the crevices unpainted so that the darker color shows through.
3) Now, edge the corners of the armor with straight Bleached Bone. Make sure you water down
your paints to achieve a more subtle transition between basecoat and highlight.
4) For the final highlight, paint the very corners and edges with an even mix of Bleached Bone
and Skull White. Before you paint the highlight, sometimes its helpful to see where the light is
hitting the model and paint your highlights accordingly.

white undercoat then just apply 2 coats of slightly thinned down GW sepia wash. A final dusting with
bleach bone ultra light drybrush or some edge hilighting can bring out the detail.

base everything in Dheneb stone, then wash it with several layers of Gryphonne Sepia. After
this, just put on some Bleached Bone, trying to avoid the recesses, and maybe even a skull
white highlight. For deaper shading, i've found a 3:1 mix of Badab Black and Gryphonne Sepia
works good

Deathwing Armor

Move Right

I prime white (why on earth would oyu use black

Apply a thin coat of bleached bone.
Paint the recesses with chestnut wash.
Coat with bleached bone again.

Prime white, then do a VERY heavy wash of gryphonne sepia and let it fully dry. Sepia over white is
a perfect color match for bleached bone. It looks quite good just like that, or you can even out the

wash by going over it in bleached bone leaving the sepia as the shading, and adding a bit of white
to the bone for highlighting

Grey or white primer.

Adeptus Battlegrey base.
3 coats of slightly diliuted Bleached Bone.
after this later in your ink color of choise between drybrushed Bleached Bone working your way up
to your highlight colors.
