Product:
ASOM air conditioner that is a unique product that is designed in a way that it
works in summer as an air conditioner and in winter, it works as a heater. It is expected
that this product will become a need of life for the people due its multifuncionality. It is
also a step towards creating niche marketing as no such type of product has been invented
for household use.

 How we developed ASOM A/C..?

There are two common myths found in the business world. The first myth is the
Belief that if you invent a better mousetrap, the world will beat a path to your door. In
truth, the world will hardly notice. What really counts is the time, effort, and resources
that go into developing and marketing a product. The second myth is that one has to be
tremendously lucky to beat the odds against success with a new invention. In reality,
much depends on how well you know the field of your invention, and then on the action
you take to develop and promote it. A good product idea is important, but an average idea
powered by well-targeted action is better than a great idea that stands alone. So our target
market is very strong and we have sorted it out after a long research that although this
will be a costly product but people will like to spend their money on 2 in 1 product. This
was our belief that motivated us to move forward to this unique product.

Create Intellectual Property:

If you are a private inventor with aspirations to license a manufacturer you must own
your idea in order to license it. In other words, you must create some form of intellectual
property (patent, copyright, trademark, etc.). With a startup operation, a patent will be
considered an asset by investors and lenders. When intellectual property is included in the
business plan, it will be easier to attract financing. For a company already in the widget
manufacturing business, the decision on whether to proceed with a patent application will
primarily be a business decision. The protection afforded by a patent may not be as
important as the potential benefits of allocating the same resources to building and/or
marketing the product itself. On the other hand, a small entity with limited marketing
resources will benefit from the extra time in the marketplace, unchallenged, due to the
exclusivity provided by patent protection. So, we have planned to programme the
registration of product and acquiring its patents.

 Idea Screening:

As already mentioned that ASOM A/C is a unique and absolute new product to the
market and it is multi task machine so it is mighty beneficial for both manufacturers and
the customers. As far as target market is concerned, watching out products benefits and
due to the specialty of niche market, all chunks of the society have been included in the
target market but main focus is on Large Organizations in the market and Elite class.

With no competitor in the market it will certainly proved to be a high earning product.

 Business Analysis:

After going through the thorough examination of product it was revealed that per unit
cost of product was Rs.40000/-. This certainly looks a high price as compared to other
A/C products. But main task for us is to remember customer that this is not just an A/C,
this works as Heater as well…!
First target of sale volume is expected to reach 100,000 units.
Obviously sale price is more than cost price but not much, just Rs.50000 per unit. This is
the initial price to be charged. And when product will become a much needed demand of
people then price will automatically rise.

 Market Testing:
The first step towards introducing the ASOM A/C will be the Market Testing. We’ll test
the product in its typical condition and then interviews of the focusing group customers
will be conducted in order to evaluate the performance of the product. After its evaluation
necessary adjustments will be made if needed. Then we’ll Produce an initial run of the
product and sell it in a test market area to determine customer acceptance

 Commercialization:

After complete market testing and customer acceptance we’ll launch the product. A
heavy advertising campaign will be needed to commercialize the product. We have a plan
to hire the services of marketing experts to promote the product. Free samples will be
distributed in different business concerns, universities and T.V channels to promote the
product. Also a renowned celebrity will be requested to become the brand ambassador for
the promotion.
This will certainly be a hard work and effort demanding task but with our sufficient
qualification skills and abilities we are committed to this task and this will certainly be
useful addition to the household needs of the people!
