editionofits'InnovatingPedagogyreport,thefourth
renditionofanannualeducationaltechnologyandteaching
techniquesforecast.Whilethetimelinesandpublishing
intervalmayremindyouoftheHorizonReport,the
methodologyforgatheringthetrendsisdifferent.
TheNMCHorizonTeamusesamodifiedDelphisurvey
approachwithapanelofexperts,the'InnovatingPedagogy'
reportisauthoredbyateamofOUresearchers.The2015
editionwascompiledincollaborationwithSRIInternational.
Asinpreviousyears,thereportdiscussesteninnovations
thatareonthebrinkofhavingaprofoundinfluenceon
education.

describelongstandingconceptssuchasinformalor
incidentallearningthatareestablishedresearchareas.In
somecases,theresourcesectionofthetrendsappeared
rathereclecticandnotwellalignedwithexistingtoolsor
approaches.
Asanexample,thoughnotmentionedinthereport,
collaborationscriptsareanestablishedCSCLtechniqueto
leveragetechnologyforsupportinglearningthrough
scientificargumentation(trend#2learningthrough
argumentation).Inthecaseofembodiedlearning(trend
#7),KhanAcademyishighlightedintheresourcecollection
withoutclarifyinghowKhanAcademyvideomaterialsare
supposedtosupportembodiedlearning.
