Dr. Boland earned a masters of physical therapy from Saint Francis University in
2003. He worked as a facility director at a regional physical therapy company before
his hire at Saint Francis in 2008. He became Board Certified as an Orthopaedic
Clinical Specialist in 2009 and completed his DPT from Temple University in 2013. In
addition to his teaching activities as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department
of Physical Therapy, Dr. Boland serves as the Director of the DiSepio Center for
Rehabilitation which is housed on campus in the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health
and Wellness and provides physical therapy services to the campus and local
communities. He is also the director of Saint Francis Universitys Orthopaedic
Physical Therapy Residency Program.
Dr. Boland became certified as an ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist (ITPT) in July
2015. At Saint Francis, he is integrally involved in multiple aspects of the Universitys
Concussion Management Program. He oversees baseline testing, post-injury testing,
exertional testing, and post injury rehabilitation while working closely with team
physicians and athletic training staff. He also carries an active caseload of patients
experiencing a prolonged recovery from concussion.
