MODEL RELEASE AGREEMENT

THIS MODEL RELEASE AGREEMENT is made on [INSERT DATE] between [INSERT

PHOTOGRAPHERS NAME] (the Photographer) and [INSERT MODELS NAME] (the
Model).
1.
PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION. The Photographer is photographing the Model on [INSERT
PHOTOGRAPHY DATES]. This agreement applies to all photographs taken of the Model
(and the Models property, if applicable) during that session (the Photographs). The
term Photographs includes still photographs, video photographs, and sound recordings.
2.
SCOPE OF RELEASE. The Model hereby grants to the Photographer (and the
Photographer's heirs, legal representatives, and assigns) the unrestricted, perpetual, and
irrevocable permission to take the Photographs and to use them for any legal purpose
worldwide, in any media, in any form, and in conjunction with the Models own name, a
fictitious name, or no name. This includes, without limitation, the right to sell, reproduce,
alter, display, and publish the Photographs, as well as to use the Photographs in
conjunction with advertising, art, and trade. The Photographer has no obligation to use
the Photographs. The Model has no right to inspect or approve the Photographs or their
use.
3.
COMPENSATION. The Photographer is providing the Model with the following
consideration: [PAYMENT DESCRIPTIONE.G., MONEY, PRINTS, EXPOSURE, CREDIT]. The
Model acknowledges the sufficiency of this consideration. The Model is not entitled to any
further compensation, regardless of the Photographs success or use.
4.
OWNERSHIP OF PHOTOGRAPHS. The Photographer owns the Photographs, the
copyright in the Photographs, and all other rights in and to the Photographs and their
reproductions. This includes (without limitation) the exclusive rights to reproduce the
copyrighted work, prepare derivative works based on the copyrighted work, distribute
copies of the copyrighted work to the public, and display the work. The Model has no
ownership or intellectual property rights to the Photographs.
5.
LIABILITY RELEASE. The Model releases the Photographer (and other persons
entitled by this agreement to use the Photographs) from all liability for libel, invasion of
privacy, and other causes of action related to the Photographs, and their making, use,
editing, processing, and alteration.
6.
MODEL IS AN ADULT. The Model is a legally competent adult, 18 years or older, and
has the right to legally enter into this agreement.
7.
MISCELLANEOUS. The Model has read and understands this entire agreement. The
agreement is binding on the Model and the Models heirs, legal representatives, and
assigns. The Photographer may assign its rights under this agreement to a third party,
without restriction. This agreement is effective on the first date set forth above and
represents the entire agreement between the parties as to the referenced photography. If
any portion of this agreement is void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall
remain in full force and effect.
