1 Silo/Tank Management
Purpose
Silo/Tank Management allows a company to record physical material stocks in tanks (silos) either hourly, daily, or weekly. For this you can enter tank dip
readings in the ERP system. You can compare the physical stock readings (tank dip readings) at any time with book inventories (storage location stocks,
batch stock, or special stock), or with changes in book inventories (goods movement records). This means you can determine profits and losses and monitor
goods movements.
As a basis for entering tank dip readings, you can define tank master data in the ERP system.

Integration
Silo/Tank Management is integrated with goods movements.

1.1 Tank Master Data


Definition
All data that is required for tank management.
The system manages tanks as storage objects with storage location stocks. As a result, you can define one or more tanks at storage location level. A
prerequisite for that is that you have defined the storage location in Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) as a depot. You can make this
setting by choosing HPM Silo/Tank Management Master Data Define storage location as storage location for silo/tank management .
The characteristics of the tanks are defined as storage object characteristics.

Structure
You can store the following data in the tank master data:
General Tank Data
The following information belongs to the general tank data:

Capacity of a tank (maximum capacity)


Allowable impurity quantities
Allowed mass
Throughput quantities
Calibration History

Data for Volume Calculation


In this area, you make the basic settings for the volume calculation from dips.
International ISO standard 7507-1 is used as the basis for calculating tank volumes from dip readings, and it includes corrections that are required. It is also
the source of the parameters that are defined in the tank master data.
The tank volume calculation can be carried out for the innage of the tank or the ullage (for example, for tanks that store asphalt). The following correction
factors have an influence on the tank volume calculation:
Floating roof correction
Correction for water
Correction for the thermal expansion of the tank (with or without taking into account the thermal insulation of the tank material)
When these correction factors are activated, information can be provided for the calibration of the tank (for example, mass of the tank roof), which have an
influence on the tank volume calculation.
Calibration Data
In this area, you can enter the following calibration-relevant data:
Calibration data that only has an informational character (for example, name of the person that carried out the calibration)
Correction-relevant calibration data
Tank Strapping Table
The tank strapping table represents the basis for the volume calculation, including minimum and maximum dips.

Calibration History Activation Concept


Use
You use this function to understand previous dip readings that are based on old calibration sets. The system produces a calibration history for tanks (history of
calibration-relevant data). When the calibration is activated and when the new calibration of the tank is carried out, the system saves the old calibration data
and creates new data records for the new calibration data.

Features
Activation Concept
As soon as you have activated the calibration history, the calibration data is subject to an activation concept. When you create a calibration set, it can be
changed until you activate it. Activating it causes the following:
The calibration set can no longer be changed.
The system uses the calibration set for volume calculations with dip readings.
When the calibration data has changed (for example, when a subsequent calibration is carried out), you can create a new calibration set (for example, by
copying the active calibration set), which you can then change until it is activated.
You can only activate calibration sets at a certain point after activating the previous calibration set and after the dip reading for this tank.
When activation is carried out, the system checks whether the calibration set is complete. The system checks whether:
All required units of measure are available
The tank strapping table is consistent
The activation time has been correctly chosen
You can display old calibration sets. The system displays these in a dialog box according to validity period. You can display the calibration data by selecting a
calibration set.

Activities
You must set the indicator Calibration History when creating tank master data so the system can save old calibration sets when the new calibration of the
tank takes place.
You must activate a newly-created calibration set before you can use it for volume calculation. To do that, select Activate calibration set , enter the start date
and the time, and save the data.

1.1.2 Correction Factors


Use
For volume corrections using dip readings, various volume correction factors that are used for tank volume calculations are required, according to international
ISO standard 7507.
You can trigger the calculation of these corrections by activating the floating roof correction, the correction for water and the correction for the thermal
expansion of the tank.
You can show or hide relevant calibration data and dip parameters for these corrections by activating or deactivating the corrections.

Features
Floating Roof Correction
This correction takes into account the material displacement caused by the floating roof of a tank, which is dependent on the material density. The system
calculates the correction value when you have done the following:
You have activated the correction factor.
You have entered the mass of the tank roof.
If you have carried out the calibration of the tank geometrically or optically, you do not have to enter the density of the calibration liquid.
If you have calibrated the tank with flow rate meters, you must then enter the density, because the correction for the density of the calibration liquid is already
contained in the tank strapping table. The system then determines the correction value based on the density difference between the material in the tank and
the calibration liquid.
The minimum height of the floating roof corresponds to the minimum height at which the correction is used. Beneath that height, no correction is carried out.

Correction for Water


No calibration data is required.
Correction for Thermal Expansion in the Tank
This correction takes into account the temperature-dependent expansion of tank material (the tank volume increases with increasing temperature). The
system calculates the correction value when you have done the following:
You have activated the correction factor.
You have entered the thermal expansion coefficient.
You have entered the calibration temperature.

1.1.3 Tank Strapping Table


Use
In the tank strapping table, you define a relation between the dip and the tank volume. To do that, the following information is required:
The dip height
Volume per height in the course (section of tank)
Total volume for the dip height
You can enter the data in any sequence; after the data has been released, the system sorts the table in ascending order.
Depending on the Customizing setting for the chosen storage object class of the tank, the system calculates any missing entries based on the information for
the volume or volume per height. The system checks existing entries or calculates missing entries according to the following formulas:
Calculation or check of volume based on specific volumes (volumes per height) within a course (a section of tank), whereby the starting point is the lowest
dip:
VOL2 = VOL1 + VPH2 * (H2 - H1)
Calculation or check of the specific volumes (volume per height) based on the volume within the course:
VPH2 = (VOL2 - VOL1) / (H2 - H1)

Specific height entry at height H2, corresponds to the specific volume in the area

The minimal and maximal dip correspond to the lowest and highest entry in the tank strapping table. The system derives the non-removeable quantity and the
tank capacity from the tank strapping table corresponding to the volume at the minimum and maximum dip.

Prerequisites
In order to calculate or check missing entries in the tank strapping table and to be able to determine the minimum and maximum dip, the tank capacity, and
the non-removeable quantity, settings are required in Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) . To make those settings, choose HPM
Silo/Tank Management Master Data Define additional settings for storage object class .

Test Conversion and Dip-Volume Calculation


Use
Depending on the Customizing setting for the selected storage object class of the tank, you can carry out a test conversion of dips in tank volume.
The system carries out the volume calculation based on the volume or the specific volumes, and according to the following formulas:

Prerequisites
In order that the system can carry out test conversions and volume calculations, you must:
Define units of measure for volumes, lengths, volumes per height, temperature, and weight in Customizing.
You must perform the corresponding settings in Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) . To make those settings, choose HPM
Silo/Tank Management Master Data Define additional settings for storage object class .

Activities
When making the calculation, the system proceeds as follows, based on ISO standard 7507:
1. The system determines the volume for the total height and for the dip height of the surface of the liquid. Then the system carries out the correction for the
tank expansion for both volumes. To do that, you have to enter the material temperature and the tank temperature.
2. The system carries out the floating roof correction on the total volume. To do that, you have to enter the material density in the test conversion. For the
dip-volume calculation, the system determines the material density from the default values for oil and gas quantity conversion.
3. After you have entered the dip height of the liquid surface, the water volume is then subtracted from the corrected total volume.
To carry out the test conversion, proceed as follows:
1. Choose Utilities Test Conversion .
This takes you to the test calculator dialog box.
2. Enter the test data, for example, total height, material density, material temperature, and choose ENTER .
The system carries out the test conversion and displays the results.

1.1.5 Consistency Check


Use
This function checks the consistency of the tank volume conversion table. Depending on the Customizing setting for the chosen storage object class of the
tank, the system calculates any missing entries based on the information for the volume or volume per height. The system checks existing entries or
calculates missing entries according to the following formulas:
Calculation or check of volume based on specific volumes (volumes per height) within a course (a section of tank), whereby the starting point is the
lowest dip:
VOL2 = VOL1 + VPH2 * (H2 - H1)

1.1.6 Creating Tank Master Data


1. Choose Logistics Materials Management Inventory Management Silo management Change/create tank master data .
The initial screen appears.
2. Select Storage location as the object type, and enter the plant and the storage location.
3. Select SO Segments (storage object segments).
You get a list of all the tanks belonging to the storage location and an overview of the material assignments to the tanks.
4. To create storage object segments, choose SOC (storage object characteristic) New Segment .
5. In the dialog box that now appears, enter the storage object type.
In Customizing, each storage object character class is assigned to a storage object type, which the system automatically uses.
To access the details screen, choose ENTER .
6. The storage object type determines which fields appear on the detail screen, which means which characteristics you can assign to the tank.
Enter the tank master data.
7. To set the unit of measure for the tank, choose Edit Set UoMs . Enter the units of measure and choose ENTER.
8. Go back to the storage object list. The tank that you just created is now listed as a storage object in the storage object list.
9. Continue as follows:
Create additional storage objects/tanks.
Save your changes. The system automatically returns to the initial screen.

Result
With this procedure you have defined the technical data for the tank. You can now maintain the tank strapping table for the tank, and assign materials to the
tank.

1.1.7 Creating Volume Conversion Data


1. Choose Logistics Materials Management Inventory Management Silo management Change/create tank master data .
The initial screen appears.
2. Select Storage location as the object type, and enter the plant and the storage location.
3. Select SO Segments (storage object segments).
You obtain a list of all the tanks belonging to the storage location and an overview of the material assignments to the tanks.
4. Select the storage object (the tank), for which you would like to create volume conversion data, and choose Edit Conversions .
5. Enter the following data:
Calibration data (for example, the mass of the tank roof, the calibration temperature)
Values for calculating the tank volume at various dip readings

6. Continue as follows:
Create values for volume calculation for other storage objects/tanks.
Save your changes. The system automatically returns to the initial screen.

1.1.8 Material Assignment


Use
The material assignment and stock assignment to tanks represents the basis for various functions within tank management.
In material assignment, you define:
Which materials are assigned to a tank
Which goods movements take place at a storage location/tank, that is, which materials flow into or out of a tank
The time frame of the assignment
You can assign individual or several materials to tanks that you defined at storage location level. You can make the assignment based on the material
number, batch, valuation type, stock type, and special stock, and limited to a specific time. As part of that process, you can only assign a specific material
segment per storage location to a tank once at the same time. You can define a planned capacity for every material allocation.

You have assigned a material with stock type sales order stock and batch XXX to tank 0007 in storage location G1T5. You cannot
assign this material to the tank 0008 in storage location G1T5. However, you can assign a different material segment, with different
characteristics (for example, a different stock type or batch) to tank 0008 in storage location G2T5.

Prerequisites
In Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) under HPM Silo/Tank Management Master Data Define material assignments you
have defined whether simple/multiple assignments of materials to tanks are allowed. If multiple assignments are allowed, you have defined which checks the
system carries out.

Features
Multiple Assignment - Checks
If you assign several materials to a tank, in each case the system checks the following material parameters are the same:
Base unit of measurement
Unit of measure group (for HPM materials)
Conversion group (for HPM materials)
For HPM materials of the Chemicals product type, the system checks the following material parameters, which are stored in the material master:
Fixed density
Thermal expansion coefficient
These checks are necessary for quantity calculation and quantity updates when tank dips are created. Additional checks that are based on the tax group, the
tax status and so on, can be defined in Customizing. These checks allow an additional grouping of materials and make possible a check that only allows
specific material combinations in the tank, and prohibits others.
If you define planned capacities during material assignment, the sum of the individual capacities is checked against the total tank capacity.
Assignment Period
The start and the end of a material assignment are subject to certain restrictions. These are necessary to make possible a detailed tank analysis that is based
on goods movements.
Material Assignment - Start
There can be two reasons for a new assignment of a material to a tank:
A storage location converts to tank management, meaning that the material already physically existed in a tank, and that is now reflected in the system.
For tanks for there are no dip readings, the start of a new material assignment has to be after the last goods movement entered in the system for the
newly-assigned material segment.
You have already used the tank in the system and a new material is now to be put in the tank.
For tanks for which you have already created dip readings, you can only carry out a new material assignment when there is no stock at the storage
location for this material segment (zero stock in base unit of measure and in the units of measure of the unit of measure group for the material). In
addition, the start of a new material assignment must be after the last goods movement that was entered in the system for the newly-assigned material
segment.
Material Assignment - End
A material is to be pumped out of a tank so that different materials can be put into the tank.
A prerequisite for setting the end date is that there is no stock at the storage location for this material segment (zero stock in base unit of measure and in the
units of measure of the unit of measure group of the material). Setting the end date means that you can no longer post any goods movements for the material
at this storage location, because otherwise you cannot ensure zero stock at the end of the assignment. If, however, additional goods movements are to be
carried out with this material, you can delete the end date again.

When planning subsequent use of the tank, you can define a planned end date.

1.1.8.1 Assigning Materials to Tanks


Choose Logistics Materials Management Inventory Management Silo management Change/create tank master data .
This takes you to the initial screen.
Select Storage Location as the object type, and enter the plant and the storage location.
Select storage object segments.
The following are displayed:
A list of all the tanks that belong to a storage location.
An overview of the material assignments for the tanks.
4. Select the storage object (the tank) for which you would like to assign materials, and select Edit Assign material .
5. Select Assign material.
6. Enter the following data in the dialog box:

Date from which the assignment is valid
Planned date on which the assignment ends
Planned capacity
Select
ENTER

7. Proceed as follows:
Go back and assign additional materials to storage objects/tanks, if need be.
Save your changes. The system automatically returns to the initial screen.

1.1.8.2 Deleting a Material Assignment


Prerequisites
You can only delete the assignment of a material to a tank if you have not posted any goods movements within the assignment period for the corresponding
material specifications. If you have already posted goods movements, you can set the end date directly after that goods movement; if you have entered dips
for the tank, then after the last dip that was entered. After the end date of the assignment, you can assign the material to other tanks.

Procedure
1. Choose Logistics Materials Management Inventory Management Silo management Change/create tank master data .
The initial screen appears.
2. Select Storage location as the object type, and enter the plant and the storage location.
3. Select SO Segments (storage object segments).
The following are displayed:
A list of all the tanks that belong to a storage location
An overview of the material assignments for the tanks
4. Select the storage object (the tank), for which you would like to delete the material assignment, and choose Edit Assignments .
5. Select the material that you would like to delete and choose Edit Delete assignment .
6. On the dialog box that is displayed, confirm your deletion.
7. Go back to the storage object list.
8. Save your changes.

Use
This function is the central workplace for tank management. It allows you to record physical stocks in the form of dip readings or quantity readings and
provides tools for stick control at the tank level.

Integration
There is a BAPI which transfers tank dip readings from external systems (for example, Terminal Automation Systems) to the ERP system.

Features
The following processing modes exist (and you can switch between them):
Create tank dips
Display tank dips
Book inventory and capacity overview, based on the tank
Stock analysis based on goods movements (gain, loss)
The system includes all assignments from tanks to storage locations in the company structure and shows them in an overview tree. You can select the tanks
to be processed from the worklist.
For the functions displaying tank dips, displaying stock overview, and displaying stock analysis based on goods movements, the system uses lists, for which
you can use the

ABAP List Viewer to define various display variants. As part of this, you can define your own field selection, sorts, and (sub) totals.

When you leave the transaction, the system saves various user parameters (for example, the last used variants and the expansion status of the overview tree)
so that the transaction looks the same the next time you call it.

Activities

2. Choose which processing mode you want to use, from the following list:

1.2.1 Creating Tank Dip Readings


Use
You can use this function to create physical tank volume readings. You can enter these readings in the form of dip readings with information on the innage of
product in the tank, or the entry of ullage (the amount of empty space in a container). If volume conversion is not required, meaning a product volume was not
determined, you can directly enter the volume.
You can enter dip readings in minute or longer periods so that the system creates a series of physical inventories.
When you enter a height, the system establishes the valid calibration set for volume calculations, determines the volume from the calibration chart and carries
out any corrections necessary (see also Test Conversion and Dip-Volume Calculation).
For tanks with HPM materials the system determines the
default values for oil and gas quantity conversion for volume calculations in base units of measure
and in the units of measure of the unit of measure group. In doing that, the system looks for the first material with default values within the various material
assignments for a tank. Using the calculated or entered volume, the system calculates the quantities in the alternative units of measure (see also
Quantity Conversion, or

Oil

Gas Quantity Conversion).

Prerequisites
The following prerequisites apply for entering tank dip readings:
You have activated the calibration set for the tank at the time of the dip reading.
You have assigned materials to the tank at the time of the dip reading.

Procedure
1. In the overview structure, select the tank to which you would like to enter tank dip readings, and then select Add tanks .
2. Enter the total height of the dip, or the volume.
3. To display the valid material assignments at the time of the dip reading, select the Material screen tab.
To display the quantities in alternative units of measure and the parameters for the oil and gas quantity conversion (QCI parameters), select the

Quantities screen tab.


To display general tank master data, select the General tank screen tab.
To display calibration-relevant tank master data, select the Vol.conversion screen tab.
4. To delete data that was already entered, select Restart and then enter the new data.
5. Save the entries.

1.2.2 Displaying Tank Dips


Use
You can use this function to display tank dips that were already created.

Procedure
1. Choose one of the two options listed here:
In the overview structure, select the tank to which you would like to display tank dip readings, and then select Add tanks .
In the Default Value area, enter the time period in which tank dips were measured, and/or the tank numbers. Select Execute .
The following information is displayed
Total height of the tank dip
Material volume for which the tank dip was made, in the volume unit of the conversion record used
Material volume for which the tank dip was made, in the base unit of measure of the material
Book inventory at the time of the tank dip reading (the total of the assigned material stocks) in base unit of measure and alternative units of measure
Stock difference between book stock and count stock
2. To display the valid material assignments at the time of the dip reading, select the Material screen tab.
To display the quantities in alternative units of measure, and the parameters for the oil and gas quantity conversion (QCI parameters), select the
Quantities screen tab.
To display general tank master data, select the General tank screen tab.
To display calibration-relevant tank master data, select the Vol.conversion screen tab.
3. Finish processing this function.

1.2.3 Displaying a Stock Overview


Use
You can use this function to display the current book inventory (the sum of the assigned material stocks) for individual tanks.

Procedure
1. Choose one of the two options listed here:
In the overview structure, select the tank for which you would like to display the stock overview, and then select Add tanks .
In the Default Setting area, enter one or more selection criteria (plant, storage location, tank number, material). In that way, you can display the
stock overview of all tanks for a plant with a specific material. Select Execute .
The following information is displayed
Book inventory at the current time, in base unit of measure and in the volume unit for the tank
Free tank capacity (tank capacity minus book inventory)
2. Double click on the quantity to display the stocks for individual materials assigned to the tank.

Displaying Stock Analysis Based on Goods Movements


Use
In Silo/Tank Management, you can use dip readings to measure and enter physical stocks. This function enables you to compare logical inventories (book
inventories) with physical inventories and monitor them. You can determine and analyze differences between the book inventory and physical inventory.

Before you can use dip readings entered in the system for stock analysis based on goods movements, you must create analysis data

Features
The differences between book inventory and physical inventory can result from physical gains or losses or by errors in material documents, or missing material
documents.
This function carries out a stock analysis between physical stock changes (differences between dip readings) and book inventory changes. The book inventory
changes are based on the material documents between individual dip readings and not on the book inventories that the system determines with dip readings.
You can then use the differences that are determined for manual gain or loss postings, or for determining missing material documents.
If more than one material segment is assigned to a tank in an analysis period, and the material segments correspond to various stock segments, the stock
analysis defaults an allocation of the differences to individual material segments. The system makes the allocation in proportions, based on the material sales
volume or the number of goods movements in the analysis period.

1.2.4.1 Creating Tank Analysis Data


Use
As soon as you have entered new dips and at least one previous dip per tank exists, you can carry out an analysis of goods movements between the
individual dip readings. As a part of that process, the system determines and stores statistical data (for example: sales volume, number of goods movements)
for the individual intervals.
This data provides the basis for the stock analysis. You must determine this before the comparison between the book inventory and the physical stock.

Prerequisites
You have defined in Customizing of the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) whether the system automatically updates analysis data and on what
basis it should determine analysis data (between every dip reading or only between certain dip readings). You can make those settings by choosing HPM
Silo/Tank Management Tank Dip Reading and Analysis Define settings for analysis of goods movements between tank dips.

Procedure
1. Choose Logistics Materials Management Inventory Management Silo management Create tank analysis data .
2. On the selection screen that is displayed, enter the selection criteria that you would like to use, for example: plant, storage location, and sequence
number (tank).
3. Determine a time frame for the analysis.
4. Select one of the following processing options:

Displaying a Stock Analysis Based on Goods Movements


Use
You can use this function to display the stock analysis for various tanks and for set analysis periods.

Prerequisites
Before you can display the stock analysis for a tank, you have to use a report to create tank analysis data

Procedure
1. Select one of the following selection options, in order to display the stock analysis:
In the Default Setting area, enter the analysis period, and select Execute .
In the overview structure, select the tank for which you would like to display the stock analysis, and then select Add tanks .
The system analyzes all dip pairs within the selected time period in the following way:
The system compares the change of the dip reading with the sum of the goods receipts and goods issues for a tank.
The system allocates the difference that results to the material segments assigned to the tank. That allocation is the result of the moved quantity or
the number of goods movements.
The system creates a list, which displays the results of the individual analyses of the sequential dip readings.
2. Double click on a line to display detailed information for each material segment for the entire analysis period.
3. To access a new stock analysis, choose Restart , and then enter the new data.
4. Finish processing this function.

Result
Beginning with the first and going to the last dip reading within an analysis period, the system determines and displays various data for each dip reading, as
follows:
Dip data, as displayed in the tank dip readings (for example, the physical stock that was determined, the dip height).
The change that results from the physical stocks that resulted from the tank dip, compared with the previous reading (in base unit of measure), as well as
the accumulated difference compared with the first reading.
The first entry of a tank is always zero, because it displays previous readings.
The balance of the goods movements with respect to the tank in the time period between the previous and the current reading, as well as the accumulated
difference compared with the first reading.
A positive entry means a surplus of goods receipts.

The difference between the book inventory (goods movements) and the physical inventory change (dip reading amount) between the previous and the
current reading.
The system also always displays the accumulated difference with respect to the first reading here, which means the book inventory surplus or deficit
cumulated up to the current reading. The last entry within the analysis period per tank shows the total surplus or the deficit for the analysis period.
A positive entry means a surplus of goods receipts. To correct the physical stock amount, a goods issue must be posted.
The system allocates the book inventory surplus or deficit that was determined for the selected analysis period to individual material segments that are
assigned to a tank. You can display the surpluses or deficits in base or alternative units of measure and use them as a reference for manual adjustment
postings.
You can display the goods movements for the material segments in the analysis period by double clicking on one of the entries in the detail screen area.

1.2.5 Worklist
Use
You can group together tanks that you use regularly, in worklists. Worklists make it easier to manage tank dips .

Prerequisites
You have created worklists in Customizing and assigned them to users.
You can assign multiple tanks in different plants and storage locations to one worklist. If you have assigned one or more worklists to a user, the system
displays these in the transaction for managing tank dips in the tree structure and you can select the worklists to process.

Activities
Define your desired worklists in Customizing under Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) , under HPM Silo/Tank Management Tank Dip Reading
and Analysis Define worklists .

Integration of Silo/Tank Management with Goods Movements


Use
You use this function to run stock analyses based on goods movements within a day also and not only in hourly periods like usual.
Time Stamp in Goods Movements
To enable a stock analysis based on goods movements also within a day, the posting time can be entered in goods receipts, in addition to the posting date.
You can also enter the current goods issue time in deliveries.
Material Checks for Goods Movements
For goods receipts and goods issues into or out of depots the system automatically checks whether the material segment entered in the material document is
assigned to the tank:
If the system finds an assignment, it saves the tank number for that assignment with the material document of the goods movement.
If the system can't find an assignment, the system cannot save the material document of the goods movement because only stocks that are assigned to a
tank in that storage location can be posted at pure depots.
Update of Analysis Data for Goods Movements
If the system finds a tank assignment for a goods movement, and if the posting date and time lie within the analysis period of an existing analysis record for
this tank, the system automatically updates the analysis data. A prerequisite for the automatic analysis update is that you have selected the Customizing
setting Quantity update on goods movement. You can make this setting by choosing HPM Silo/Tank Management Tank Dip Reading and Analysis
Define settings for analysis of goods movements between tank dips.

Prerequisites
The use of a time stamp in goods movements requires that time zone data be set in Customizing. You can carry out the corresponding settings in
General Settings Time Zones .
The plants that are listed in a goods movement should be within one time zone, because the time entered always refers to the plants time zone. If you
enter plants with different time zones in one material document, a warning message appears, because then the date and time (for different time zones)
refer to different times.
If you use different time zones in a single material document, the system determines the time zone from the first document item, and the time is then
standardized to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). For all other document items, the system posts this standardized time stamp, which can mean that there
are then various local times in the various document items.
