CPH Releases New Scientific Summer Sunday School Program

Publishing House (CPH) recently released a new summer Sunday School curriculum as part of
their Growing in Christ program called Even the Wind and the Waves Obey Him. This new
curriculum teaches students about the natural and powerful elements that God created.

“Children are often amazed and intrigued with science experiments and with finding out about the
natural power of God’s mighty earth,” said Pam Neilson, Senior Editor—Sunday School, Youth,
and Family Materials for CPH. “These stories about God doing things like opening the earth and
raining fire will definitely catch students’ attention.”

Not only will the program appeal to students’ intrigue but it will also appeal to teachers and
administrators of Sunday School programs who are looking for a flexible curriculum. Growing in
Christ curriculums have intergenerational lessons, reproducible student pages, and lesson
expanders—meaning that in the summer months, when class size fluctuates, teachers are able to
adapt quickly and simply.

“The program is adaptable because of the fact that the teachers get to choose, more or less,
which pieces work best for them,” said Neilson. “And most importantly, this program is fun and
captivating. It’s exciting to watch student’s faces light up when they realize that, literally, Even the
Winds and the Waves Obey Him.”
