Lent calls us to a time of repentance,

contemplation and renewal. You are
invited to come share in fellowship with
one another as we share a meal and
experience different prayer and worship
stations, learning new ways to experience
Lent. This event has opportunities for
every age to learn and grow
together. Please be sure to sign up on the
commons table. We ask that every family
bring soup or salad to share.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING
COLLECTION RESULTS
Thank you to all who donated to our Souper Bowl of Caring
collection on Feb. 7th. Here are the results: $130 collected in
the Denver Broncos pots and $151.20 collected in the Carolina
Panthers pots. So, even though our Panthers didn't win, we
certainly did support them! But, the real winners are our two
charities, God's Pantry and United Ministries, who will each
receive $140.60 from EPC. Yeah team EPC!

Thank you to everyone who supported

the Stop Hunger Now event on February
6th! Over 100 people packed 10,000 high
protein, dehydrated meals for use in
crisis situations to support school feeding
programs in schools and orphanages
around the world. For more information
visit www.stophungernow.org and stay
tuned for future events!

Adult Sunday School Lent Study

Sundays, Feb 14-March 20

The Gospel of John is the most deeply spiritual of

the four gospels. It includes some of the loftiest
and most loved verses in all the Bible: "And the
Word became flesh...," "For God so loved the
world...," "You who are without sin cast the first
you are at the store, pick up an extra can of pasta sauce, bottle of ketchup, (plastic or cans - nomato puree, tomato soup, etc.
stone...," "I am the resurrection and the life...," "I
to help fill our bin in the commons area!
am the way, and the truth, and the life." The
writing is filled with rich images and profound
truths, but John notes that his aim in writing the
gospel is that his readers will not only believe in
Jesus Christ, but that they "may have life in his
GODS PANTRY
name."
Dont forget that Eastminster has been
This Lent, join minister and author Adam

food bank with tomato products. So
