i)

Qualification:

Ph. D with First Class M.Tech Degree in relevant engineering discipline with excellent
professional career and outstanding credentials. Should possess flair knowledge on
latest technological / managerial developments, Statistical & Quantitative techniques &
teaching skills.
ii)

Experience:

20 - 30 years of industrial / academic experience or combination of both in the relevant


discipline possessing excellent professional record with research paper publications in
national / international journals. Preference will be given to:

Retired and working scientists/ researchers from national labs and professional
bodies such as CSIR / DRDO / DST / DBT / DAE / ICMR etc.

Retired faculty from IITs, IIITs / NITs / Universities / Engineering Institutions of


repute

Retired employees of science and technology bodies like AICTE / DBT / UGC /
Ministry of New & Renewable Energy / Environment / Power and other Scientific
organizations

iii)

Age:
No Age limit Should be healthy with commanding presentation skills, energy
and zeal to work full-time / part-time.

IV)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Shall guide in formulation of proposals for conducting Executive Development


Programmes, Research and Consultancy Projects and successful execution of the
sanctioned programmes, workshops / seminars and projects

Dean - Academics
i)

Qualification:

Ph. D with First Class M.Tech Degree in relevant engineering discipline with excellent
professional career possessing flair knowledge on latest technological / managerial
developments, Statistical & Quantitative techniques & teaching skills and demonstrate
ability in enhancing the brand image and activities of ESCI to international standards.
ii)

Experience:

30 years of industrial / academic & R&D experience or combination of both in the


relevant discipline possessing

iii)

a)

Excellent professional record with research paper publications in national /


international journals

b)

Possess minimum 10 years of experience in the cadre of Dean of Studies


/ Professor in any reputed Academic / R&D / educational institutions of
repute

Age:
60 65 Years

iv)

Duties & Responsibilities:


a)

To implement decisions of Management Review Meetings on QMS, GC &


BOM Meetings by issuing necessary directions

b)

Finalization of Calendar of Training Programmes based on the


recommendations of Academic Divisional Councils keeping the latest
developments in technology and management, training needs of the
organizations in view.

c)

Publication of Institute newsletters / Proposals for Executive Development


Programmes

d)

Addressing to public grievances on complaints and its redressal


mechanisms in academic front.

e)

To conduct SWOT analysis of the institute periodically and help the


Director and the GC / BOM in identifying the areas of priority to achieve
excellence

f)

Preparation of strategic plan for the institution and fixing priorities of


various development activities

g)

To work for International / National Collaborations in the field of academics


/ PG programmes in Engineering and Management.

h)

Creation of more Centers of Excellence.

i)

Upkeep and upgradation of library and digital library

j)

Designing faculty and staff development programmes for qualification and


skill upgradation.

k)

Faculty & Staff development with respect to training needs and organizing
need based programmes.

l)

Industry Institute Linkages, Collaborative Research Entrepreneurship &


incubation centres.

m)

Motivate faculty to undertake research / consultancy projects.

n)

Supervising and evaluating Divisions / Cells / Centres / Schools in a


manner that promotes excellence in instruction and service. Guide and
advise the HODs about the drawbacks/grey areas to improve the quality of
the CPDPs / STPs.

o)

Qualitative and quantitative conduct of technical activities in professional


manner as per set-targets in each domain area

p)

Address issue of low participation in the programmes and advise new


marketing strategies to overcome the low participation.

q)

advising the Director on policies and procedures

r)

Monitoring the physical targets and other developmental schemes,


preparation of relevant papers for submission of progress reports thereof.

s)

providing recommendations on policies and procedures, especially in the


academic area

Senior Faculty
in
Environment Management, Civil / Transportation Engineering,

Management
i)

Qualification:

Ph. D in relevant area or First Class M.Tech with 25 years industrial experience in top
level position as ENC / Chief Engineer / CEO / Director in industry. Must have
published research papers in reputed journals
ii)

Experience:

15-20 years of academic / industrial experience or combination of both in the relevant


`discipline.
Weightage is given on following points for a candidate with industrial experience:a)

iii)

Good academic record with research paper publications in relevant field


b)

Must have worked at managerial level equivalent to ENC / Chief Engineer


/ General Manager CEO.

c)

Applicants must be a Doctorate from a reputed University with excellent


technical knowledge in relevant area, Statistical & Quantitative techniques
& teaching skills and demonstrate ability to produce results.

d)

Leadership and managerial skills to lead the team to achieve


organizational growth, good communication skills and contacts at
corporate level / Government Ministries / Departments.

Age:
55 60 Years

iv)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Organize CPDPs / STPs (In-house & off-campus), take-up and execute


Consultancy & Research Projects.
The HoD shall play a key role in successful conduct of the CPDPs, STPs, Consultancy
and Research Projects and actively engage in formulating the curriculum, attracting the

best faculty, mentoring junior faculty and providing direction to research in the relevant
subject areas.
a)

Finalization of divisional academic calendar for every FY


i.

Identify and Constitute Divisional Academic Council and conduct


periodical meetings

ii.

Design and develop the divisional CPDPs keeping the latest


technological developments and stakeholders in view

iii.

Finalize the CPDPs in consultation with experts

iv.

Identify the core faculty of each CPDP

v.

Finalization of course material with relevant case studies and time


table

b)

vi.

Conduct of CPDPs

vii.

Evaluation of CPDPs and identify the areas of improvement

Marketing:
Design and develop marketing strategies for each CPDPs / STPs /
Consultancy & Research Projects and do marketing with higher officials
of corporate / stakeholder organizations / Ministries of both State and
Central Governments.

c)

STPs:
i.

Design the STPs as per Clients requirement.

ii.

Identify core faculty / Resource Persons

iii.

Finalization of course material and time table

iv.

Conduct of STPs (On / Off Campus)

v.

Evaluation of STPs, identify the areas of improvement and appraise


the client

d)

Research & Consultancy:


i.

Identify the areas of expertise (internal & external)

ii.

Explore Research & Consultancy assignments in relevant areas

iii.

Preparation and submission of tenders / quotations

iv.

Attend preliminary meetings with presentations (as required)

v.

Execution of the assignments as per prescribed standards adhering


to the timeframe

vi.

Submission of draft report

Realization of payments on time

Performance assessment of faculty and support staff of the division

Dy. Director Administration


i)

Qualification:

First class Masters Degree in Business Administration HR (preferred) / Engg. /


Technology / MIS or other related fields with knowledge on relevant software
applications and administrative / leadership skills.
ii)

Experience:

15-20 years at senior level gained in both public & private sectors and multi-national
organizations. Knowledge in organizational / HR policies / practices is essential. Shall
be a team builder and people-focused strategic thinker with management and
supervisory skills including the ability to make difficult decisions in a rapidly changing
complex and demanding environment. Fluency in English language with excellent oral
and written communication skills including the ability to make persuasive presentations.
Prospective candidates should have good academic track record, preferably with Post
Graduation in Management, Graduation Engg / Tech.

Candidates with facility /

institutional management experience will be given preference. Candidates should have


multi-functional experience of at least 15 years in a similar capacity in large service
organisations and ability to lead teams.
iii)

Age:
Below 50-55 Years. Age relaxation will be considered for deserving candidates.

iv)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assume leadership and management responsibility for organizational services,


functions and activities, encompassing administration, human resources procurement,
safety & security, logistics, infrastructure & physical facilities and legal / statutory
compliance.

Continuously monitor, evaluate and improve the efficiency and

effectiveness of service delivery methods, procedures to achieve customer satisfaction

Major responsibilities cover, amongst others, efficient management of the Hostels,


Campus, housekeeping, transport, security, gardening, catering, procurement, stores,
human resources and union management relations, etc.
Participate as an active member of management committee which is responsible for
assisting the Director in making strategic decisions.
a)

Administration:

Continuously monitor and evaluate the maintenance of following service sections:


Buildings & Hostels Upkeep
Transport Maintenance
Stores & Mailing
Reprographics
Catering
Electrical & Civil works
Systems Management
Purchase and Stores
b)

Personnel & HR:

Assess the manpower requirement in coordination with Dean - Academics and nonacademic divisions (Projects, Finance, etc.), Designing of Recruitment Policy,
Recruitment, Training inline with QMS Objectives.

Planning and implementation of

Career Development Policies from recruitment to retirement of all the employees.


Implementation of HR policies, Service & CDA rules, Welfare Policies & Benefits in
compliance with statutory / legal regulations.
