There will be wish lists in the Reed Room for the Ronald McDonald
House and Greer Elementary School. Bring these items in and we
will see they are delivered. Please mark items RMH or Greer.
The Charlottesville District UMC Youth and the AUMC Missions and
Outreach Committee invite you to join youth and adults from around
the Charlottesville District of the United Methodist Church and the
AUMC congregation as we package meals for Stop Hunger Now and
hand-weave plastic grocery bags into mats for the homeless! We will
meet at 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 27th downstairs in the churchs
unfinished fellowship hall. You may enter through the downstairs
entrance with the large white, two-story columns. (Plastic grocery bags
are currently being collected in the Reed Room.)
66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry

Want to make a difference in a big way? It takes 29 cents to pay for one
meal package. Please consider making a donation today to Stop Hunger
Now. You may write a check to Stop Hunger Now and place it in the
collection plate or you may write your check to AUMC with Stop
Hunger Now in the memo line. Additionally, a portion of the
Aldersgate Easter offering will go to Stop Hunger Now. (Youll receive
more info on the Easter offering in the coming weeks.)
Our assembly process combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a
flavoring mix that includes 23 essential vitamins and minerals into small
meal packages. The meals are shipped throughout the world to support
school feeding programs, orphanages, and crisis relief. The food is
stored easily, transported quickly, and has a shelf life of two
years. (SHN)

Dear Aldersgate Family: We would like to thank all of you for the many
ways you expressed your compassion and love on the occasion of our
son Kevins death. We so appreciate the many cards, and the prayers
offered for us have been a huge support. Almost 50 people from our
Aldersgate congregation came to Culpeper for either visitation on Friday
evening or the memorial service on Saturday. We are absolutely
amazed at this. While we did not have the opportunity to talk to all of
our Aldersgate friends who came, we want you to know that there are
no words to express how much your presence meant to us. We ask you
to continue to keep us in your prayers as we work through this most
difficult time. Don and Pat MacNicoll
