Is the Bible Truth, or are the Priests of Today Telling the Truth?

Can we believe that the Bible is the Truth (the Word of God), or are the preachers of
today, that are teaching a future return of Jesus, telling the truth?
All of the following scriptures from the New King James Version of the Bible refer to
Jesus return happening before the end of the disciples generation. There are many
others which refer to that time period as being the end of the age.
Matthew 10:23 When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I
say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man
comes.
Matthew 16:27-28 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His
angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you,
there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man
coming in His Kingdom. (Rev 22:12)
Matthew 24:34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will no means pass away till all
these things take place.
Mark 9:1 And He said to them, Assuredly I say to you that there are some standing here
who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.
Mark 13:30 Assuredly I say to you, This generation will by no means pass away till all
these things take place.
Mark 14:62 Jesus said, I am, And you (Caiaphas, the high priest) will see the Son of Man
sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
Luke 9: 26-27 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man
will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Fathers, and of the holy
angels. But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till
they see the kingdom of God.
Luke 21:32 Assuredly I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all
things take place.
1 John 2:18 little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist
is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last
hour.

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His
servants things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His Angel
to His servant John.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy,
and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
Revelation 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they
who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so,
Amen.
Revelation 3:11 Behold, I am coming quickly (soon)! Hold fast what you have, that no
one may take your crown.
Revelation 10:5-6 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up
his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven
and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the
things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer.
Revelation 22:6-7 Then he said to me, These things are faithful and true. And the
Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must
shortly take place.
Revelation 22:10 And he said to me, Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book,
for the time is at hand.
Revelation 22:12 And behold, I am coming quickly (soon), and my reward is with Me,
to give to every one according to his work. (Matt 16:27-28)
Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, surely I am coming quickly.
Both the very beginning and ending of Revelation state that the events mentioned were
about to happen.

Of course Jesus said But of that day and hour no one knows, (Matthew 24:36 &
Mark 13:32) but He also said that His return would be before the end of that generation.
Both of these statements were true and were fulfilled.
When the fact that Jesus Christ did indeed return before the end of the disciples
generation, as He promised is applied, all of these scriptures as well as the prophecies of
Daniel, Ezra and Jesus come alive and stand complete on their own two feet.

But when the interpretation that Jesus return is sometime yet to come, as the church is
preaching today, is applied, all of these scriptures are dead with no meaning, and can only
be given the illusion of some life when the meanings are distorted or scriptures from
other places in the Bible are added. Even then, these prophecies are not complete with
many passages left unexplained.
Much misunderstanding and confusion comes from the fact that many people and some
of the more recent translations of the Bible state that Jesus return would be at the end of
the world. When in fact the earlier translations state that His return would be at the end
of the Age. One scripture states that it would be at the end of time, but this does not
mean the end of the world, just the end of time for that age. The end of the first age was
at the flood. The end of the second age was when the Jewish Nation was no longer gods
chosen people, but all peoples, races, and religions are equal in Gods eyes, and at which
time Jesus returned to the Jewish people as He promised. As we all know, the end of the
world is yet to come. It may be a thousand years or a million years from now. Here
again, no one knows the day or hour of the end of the earth only God.
One way that Jesus return could have happened is recorded in the Epistle of Apollos.
This account certainly is not contrary to what any of the scriptures about His return say.
I choose to believe that the Bible is telling the truth, and refuse to believe the uncertainty
and fear that the preachers of today are spreading by saying that Jesus return could
happen any day now. God is a God of Love and Order. Not a God of Fear and Chaos.
