GPU Tweak Streaming is a utility for setting up high-quality live streaming


video from your desktop or webcam. With GPU Tweak Streaming you can
add text and images to customize your broadcast. Users can also adjust
video resolution settings to optimize streaming output for different types of
network bandwidth.

2. Display window - The Display window shows a preview of text, images and
video to be broadcasted on your live stream.
3. Desktop video stream - You can stream your full desktop or select areas of
your desktop during a live stream.
4. Image - You can add an image to your live stream.
5. Webcam video - You can add video from your webcam or recording device
to your live stream.
6. Customized text or title - You can add text to your live stream.
7. Add button - Click the Add button to add text, images and video to your
live stream. Any text, images and video added will appear immediately on
the Display window.
8. Remove button - Click the Remove button to delete previously added text,
images or video.
9. Recording volume - Click and drag the control handle to increase or decrease
the recording volume.

1. Menu bar - The menu bar provides File, Setting, Channel and Help options.

10.Playback volume - Click and drag the control handle to increase or decrease
the playback volume.
11.Video resolution - Click the appropriate video resolution for your video
and bandwidth.
12.Export - Click the Export button to save the video stream settings for use in
Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder.

Setting up a video stream using GPU Tweak Streaming

Using a webcam as video source


1. Click the Add button.
2. Click Camera.
3. Select a webcam on the list of
recording devices.
4. The webcam video stream will begin
playing on the Display window.

Using your screen as video source


1. Click the Add button.
2. Click Screen.
3. Using your mouse pointer, click and
drag an area on the screen you wish
to appear on your video stream.
4. The screen area will appear on the
Display window.

Adding text
1. Click the Add button.
3. Enter text to be displayed on the
streaming video.
4. Select Font, text Size and Color.
5. Tick the Marquee option to make the
text scroll across the screen. Select
Slow, Normal or Fast to adjust the
speed of the text.
6. Click OK.

Adding images

1. Click the Add button.


2. Click Image.
3. Click Browse and select an image file.
Click OK .
4. The image will appear on the Display
window.
5. Click and drag to position the image
on the Display window.

Resizing, moving and arranging text, images and video


Click and drag the text, images and video to resize, move and arrange their
viewing position.

Click the corners of


a video/image/text
and drag to resize.
Click once to move
around the Display

Removing text, images and webcam

2. Select the image, text or webcam video
you want to remove.
3. Click OK.

NOTE: Selecting a higher video resolution with insufficient upload bandwidth may
lead to drops in frame rate in the streaming video.

GPU Tweak Streaming lets you select a video resolution appropriate for your
upload bandwidth and video size. Refer to the table below when selecting
resolution settings for your video.

Live streaming to a specific


channel
1. Click Channel on the Menu bar .
2. On the Flash Media Server item, select
a Flash Media video provider on the
list or click Customize to provide your
own settings.
3. On the FMS URL item, enter the URL
of the video server provider.*
4. On the Stream Key item, enter your
Stream key to secure your video stream
and encrypt user information.*
5. Click OK

NOTE: For more details on the URL of your streaming video provider or using the
Stream key, click How to get Stream Key? or refer to your streaming video providers
support page.

Exporting video streaming settings


1. Click the Export button .

3. Click Save

NOTE: Video streaming settings are saved as XML for use in Adobe Media Live
Encoder.

2. On the Export FME Profile window,


enter a name for the XML file.*

Importing Profiles into Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder


Using Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, you can import profiles exported from
GPU Tweak Live Streaming and set up your live stream immediately.
1. Click File on the Menu bar.
2. Click Open Profile.

3. Select the saved profile and click


Open.

Using Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder


Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder is a powerful free encoding application that
prepares live video broadcasts for streaming to Flash Media server online
providers. You can download the latest version of Flash Media Live Encoder from
http://www.adobe.com/go/fmle3

Adobe Flash Media Encoder encoding settings


1. Video Device - Select the video device you want to use to stream video
online.

3. Frame Rate - 25 or higher Frame Rates per Second (FPS) is recommended.

2. Video Format - Select the encoding format for the video stream. H.264 is
recommended.
4. Input Size - Video capture size for streaming.
5. Output Size / Video Bit Rate - The Output Size should be equal to or less
than the video Input Size. A large Output Size requires a higher Video Bit
Rate. Refer to the video encoding guidelines below.

NOTE: Selecting a higher video resolution with insufficient upload bandwidth may
lead to drops in frame rate while using a low bit rate will result in mosaic artefacts.

6. Audio device - Select the audio device for your video stream. For an audio
setup that uses multiple sound sources, configure the mixer in the recording
devices settings.
7. Audio Format - AAC is recommended for better audio quality. Select MP3
if AAC is unavailable for your computer.
8. Channels - Select stereo for better sound quality. Select mono for less
bandwidth consumption.
9. Sample Rate - 22050 or higher is recommended.
10. Audio Bit Rate - 48kbps or higher is recommended.
11. RTMP URL / Stream Key - The RTMP URL and Stream Key items will be
automatically filled out after loading the XML file exported from GPU Tweak
Streaming.
12. Save to File - Save the broadcast streaming video to a file on your
computer.

Sound Recording for Live Streaming


Your PCs Stereo Mixer should be enabled for GPU Tweak Live Streaming or Adobe
Media Live Encoder to stream audio coming from gameplay, music or sounds
from your desktop PC. If the only recording device enabled is Microphone, only
audio from the Microphone will be heard on your broadcast.
Setting up sound recording
1. In Windows 7, click Start then Control
Panel.
2. Click Hardware and Sound then Manage
audio devices.
3. On the Recording tab, enable Stereo
Mixer.
4. Click Apply then OK.
