Teacher Job Description

• Prepare and present interactive Bible

study sessions.
• Life-changing Bible study that is
discussion driven and focuses on teaching
people how to handle the Scriptures for
themselves.
• The Teacher & Coordinator work as a
team in making sure the LIFE GROUP is
functioning completely.

Teacher Job Description

• Develop an Apprentice Teacher

– Substitute and Lead a new LIFE GROUP
– You should work to help start a new LIFE GROUP
every year to 18 months.
• Work together with Class Coordinator
– Coordinator owns 15 minutes of class
• Attend scheduled Team Huddles that include:
– Meet with Life Group Director
– Meet with Life Group Planning Team

• Recruit every member to serve in a
ministry position in the LIFE GROUP.

• Nell gave an update on the church

finances
• Class Coordinator’s or Teacher to

• AR Torrey – Copy financial papers for all
adults – DONE – printouts on a chair in
each adult classroom

 Life Group Training in the Northwest
• Pastor Carter Shotwell is returning to the Northwest!
– For all who were not able to attend back in October or would
like a refresher:
– Saturday, April 24th – 7:15am - meet at Brookwood for carpool to
NWBC in Vancouver, WA
– ~11am – Return to Brookwood
– Please RSVP to Torrey, so we don’t leave without you!
• Future trainings – each session is $75 for each church in
attendance
– June 5th - Interactive Teaching Seminar
– August 14th - Life Group Coordinator Training
– September 25th - Growth Group Training

Adult Curriculum Discussion

– Media suggestions – stemming conversations after class

– Really deep questions can lead to silence in class
– Lack of teacher commentary
