DATA MATRIX OF LAST SESSION MARKET INSIGHTS: On April 16, 2010, The key benchmark indices edged lower in
volatile trade as an imminent hike in key short-term interest rates by the Reserve Bank of

India (RBI) at a policy review next week weighed on investor sentiment. Stocks fell for the
Sensex 17591 -48 -0.27% fourth straight trading session. In global cues, European stocks turned positive from
Nifty 5262 -12 -0.23% negative and US index futures were off lows. Earlier, Asian stocks edged lower. The BSE 30-
Midcap 7023 -19 -0.27% share Sensex was provisionally down 68.71 points or 0.39%, off close to 95 points from the
Smallcap 9017 -17 -0.19% day's high and up close to 40 points from the day's low. The market breadth was weak.
Intraday volatility was immense. Stocks cut losses soon after an initial slide caused by weak
Asian stocks. The market weakened shortly with the Sensex hitting a fresh intraday low in
VALUE TRADED (Rs Crs) Chg% early trade. The market bounced back from lower level in morning trade. The market
BSE 4477 -7.48% slipped into the red once again after briefly regaining positive zone in mid-morning trade
NSE 12599 -18.16% when it hit a fresh intraday high. The market moved in a range in early afternoon trade.

!The BSE 30-share Sensex was down 48 points or 0.27% to 17,591 as per closing figures.
The index fell 109.71 points at the day's low of 17,529.55 in early trade. The Sensex rose 24.73
NET INFLOWS (Rs Crs) Chg% points at the day's high of 17,663.99 in mid-afternoon trade. The S&P CNX Nifty was down
FIIs 243 143.73% 12 points or 0.23% to 5262 as per last figures. BSE clocked turnover of Rs 4087 crore, lower
DIIs -189 145.87% than Rs 4838.39 crore on Thursday, 15 April 2010.
!Reliance Industries (RIL) edged lower in volatile trade. Another index heavyweight
FII OPEN INTEREST (Crs) Chg% ICICI Bank came off the day's high. Realty stocks fell on fears of interest rate hike by the
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) next week. Auto, IT and telecom stocks also fell. Capital goods

stocks were mixed. However, FMCG stocks gained on defensive buying as the Sensex fell for

FII Stock Futures 29989 0.34% !European shares turned positive from negative on Friday as industrials gained after
FII Stock Options 974 1.83% SKF results beat expectations and banks recovered from earlier falls. The key benchmark
indices in UK, France and Germany were up by 0.05% to 0.19%. Asian stocks retreated from
World Indices Chg % 22-month highs on Friday as fresh doubts about the US economic recovery and Greece's
rescue package prompted profit taking. The key benchmark indices in China, Hong Kong,

NEWS ROOM: The Reserve Bank of India is seen raising key short term interest rates by

MARKET OUTLOOK- CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC

TECHNICAL VIEW: once again a weak session we have gone through on last Friday . Opened on a relatively moderate
note, spot index once again shown some tiredness around 5270-5280 levels and drifted below 5250 though mild recovery in late
hours once again leap indices from the day’s low. For today’s session we expect moderate scenario with range bound trading
between 5230-5330. Any drift below 5230 level may further spoils the traders sentiment though possibility of consolidation
near 5130-5140 levels can’t be rule out. On the other hand Bank nifty also shows sign of negative divergence. Any drift below
9150-9200 further diminish the investors sentiment and we might see 9000 level in a short span of time where some sort of
materialistic support should arises. HAPPY TRADING....
