 What’s Happening in April
Easter Bonnet Creations and Parade, Thursday April 1st
This is a time to let your creative side shine! We will be making Easter Bonnets in the Activities room
and then parading around Town Square to show off our handy work! Come and get connected with
your crafty side!
Movie Afternoon, Friday April 2nd
For Good Friday there will be a movie in Preservation Hall starting at 2:00pm. “The Glory of Easter”,
the Crystal Cathedral’s highly acclaimed passion play authentically recreates the events of Passion
Week including the Palm Sunday Procession and the Last Supper. Come and be reminded what
Easter is all about.
Easter Egg Hunt & Dinner Buffet, Sunday April 4th
Wal-mart & Zellers, Thursday April 15th
The bus will be leaving at 2:00 p.m. and heading to Wal-mart. For those of you who like to shop at a
Canadian brand store I will also be dropping people off at Zellers. You can tell the Concierge, when you sign
up, which store you would like to go to.
Afternoon Country Drive, Thursday April 29th
This is your opportunity to see the Lower Mainland’s countryside, in full bloom, in comfort. We will be leaving
at 2:00 p.m. and stopping for coffee at a local coffee shop, so bring your change for this one.
Garden Planning, Friday April 30th
Have your say in what we plant! If you love to get your hands into deep rich soil, enjoy planning, or just love
gardening… you won’t want to miss this meeting. We will be planning the Hallmark gardens according to
what flowers we want, where we want them and what colors. Butchart Gardens watch out!! Meeting time is
2:30 p.m. in the Activities Centre

This is Hallmark’s annual Easter Egg Hunt starting at 3:30 p.m. in the Town Square. Please invite
your friends, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to enjoy the fun as we hunt for
chocolate. At 4:00 p.m. the Easter Dinner Buffet will start. You are welcome to invite your family
and friends for this event. Tickets for guests are 18.00+gst for adults and 14.00+gst for children 12
and under. Stretch and Exercise
Come and enjoy delicious food as we celebrate this amazing holiday.
This low impact fitness consists of stretches, cardio, breathing and some weight training.
Bradner Flower Show, Friday April 9th You set your own pace in a non-judgmental friendly environment. It doesn’t matter what stage you are at,

Hymn Sing and Bible Study
Come join us on Tuesday morning at 10:45 a.m. in Preservation Hall for Bible Study led by Marvin
Wellness Workshop, Wednesday April 14th MacDonald. At 2:00 p.m. we will assemble for Hymn Sing in the Square. With Glen Hoskyn on piano come
sing or just enjoy the sounds.
This workshop will be on Emergency Preparedness. Linda Rau will be walking you through the
steps on what to do in the case of a disaster such as: fire, earthquake, or power failure. Come and
gain the knowledge you need to stay safe in the face of an emergency. The workshop will be
starting at 3:00 p.m. in Preservation Hall.
Needle Corner, Wednesday April 7th
Come down and have a social time of knitting, crocheting and drinking coffee . Whatever craft you feel like
doing that day, come down and we can enjoy doing it together!
