1. GENERAL
This procedure covers minimum requirements for packing after finish fabrication, painting
and before transportation from PT. BBI Workshop, Pasuruan, East Java.

4. PREPARATION
4.1. Mobile crane / overhead crane capacity as per necessity.
4.2. All consumable packing i.e. : Wooden skid, bolt & nut, wire rope, temporary cover,
wooden bandage & etc.
4.3. Column shall be throughly cleaned inside and outside and free of all dirt and foreign
matter.
4.4. Place desicant bag in the inside of column according to preservation procedure
(MTDF-SAS-MS-0510-C1008-1002)
4.5. All flange faces shall be sealed with cover plate blinds, machined surface, all threads
& all surface not painted shall be coated with a suitable anti corrosive material
(grease), an appropriate gasket shall be used between the flange face cover and the
cover.
5. APPLICATION
5.1. Placement the wooden support on the ground with position according to the drawing
at sheet 3 into 8.
5.2. Placement column to above wooden support with orientation as per requirement.
5.3. Install wire robe, hose, clamp, turnbuckle to eyebolt and tightened.
5.4. Place the shipping mark, caution mark, packing list and weight indication to column
according to the drawing at sheet 3 into 8.
5.5. Inspection.
5.6. Ready for shipment.
