After early breakfast we will have a jeep ride through the tea estates to Silent valley
estate for about 25 kilometers (1 hour) to the foothill point and today we will start our
trek from the height of 1750 meters, through the grantees plantations, pine trees,
through the rolling grasslands etc, after few ascending and descending we will summit
the peak Meesapulimalai the second highest peak in South India (2637 meters), from
the ridge its offers spectacular view of both the low land of Tamil Nadu the highest tea
estate, couple of lakes unique valley of grasslands etc,
After a short refreshment break the trek will continue through a valley where the
rhododendrons and pine forests grows wild and of course a unique eco system of grass
land and streams through them, to the campsite. Overnight camp in comfortable tents
by the side of gurgling mountain streams at Rodho-valley with the beautiful natural
brooks and the meadows of Western Ghats

This day will be passing through the pine forests rolling grasslands and the scenic beauty
of the mountain ranges and through the dense shoals of camp Malai, will take some
zigzag walk through the rolling grass land with the shola forest, couple of lakes and
mountain ranges views on the other side, to reach the tea estate we have take bit steep
downhill for a short distance easy challenge but fun reach Yellapatty Estate. To the
camp we will walk through the tea estates and with the short climb through the dense
forest will reach the mountain cliff for overnight camp, the camp site which is surrounded
by forests and the panoramic mountains with wonderful views where the clouds are
floats under your feet at camp Footprint.

The camp footprint situates at the eastern slope of the Western Ghats and its one of best
camps in and around Munnar for a sunrise so will have an early wake up for sunrise.
After breakfast will start our trek on the mountain ridges of the eastern slopes, offers
fantastic view of tea plantations, second highest peak, the highest tea estate and the low
land of Tamil Nadu, the vegetation we are passing which are good habitat for some
endemic birds and wildlife, we may have chances to spot some of them during our trek
(matter of chance) this day trek offers verity of nature like shola forest, ever green,
montain forest, grass lands, tea plantations, villages etc, will reach Top station border

village for Kerala and Tamil Nadu, our camp will be close to the village at Top Station
(1800 meters MSL)

Top station to planned destination (Duration optional)

Today, will have an easy hike through the tea estates to the highest tea estate in the
World, today will start our hike form Suryanelly estate (24 kilometers approx from
Munnar town) the whole trek we will have gradual ascending from the height of 1700
meters to 2160 meters the trek will be about 10 kilometers. We will pass the camp to
visit the one of the oldest tea factory in this region built at 1935 with orthodox method
process, offers one of the best organic tea, we can taste the fresh tea after the factory
visit and walk back to campsite, overnight at the comfortable tents with campfire and
dinner.

Our camp is at the eastern slope of the western Ghats so it is one of best camps for the
sunrise so will have a early wake up call for the sunrise and free time up to breakfast,
after the breakfast a short walk through the tea fields will take you to the foot hill of
Meesapulimalai the second highest peak in South India, before reaching the rolling
grass land we need to cross through the shola forest on the ridge offers spectacular view
of both the low land of Tamil Nadu and the peaks as well, will have one stretch moderate
climb for 1-1.30 hours to summit the peak (2637 meters)
After a short refreshment break the trek will continue through a valley where the
rhododendrons and pine forests grows wild and of course a unique eco system of grass
land and streams through them, to the campsite. Overnight camp in comfortable tents
by the side of gurgling mountain streams at Rodho-valley with the beautiful natural

destination
Cost Rs. 11500/- per Pax (minimum 4 Pax (in terms of cost it will be Rs. 46000/- up to
Pax including jeep transfer from Munnar to Silent Valley)

Cost includes all meals (first day picnic lunch), porters, rent for camp, guides, back up
jeep, refreshment, al the permissions from related departments, etc,)
We will provide Dome or A frame Alpine type tents, Kitchen tent, Dinning tent, Table,
Chairs, Toilet tents etc.., we advice to bring their own sleeping bags if not we can provide
sleeping bags too
The trek routes, timing, distances and campsites may change with or without
prior notice according to the local circumstances

the great Western Ghats, consist of unique ecosystem like the rolling grasslands,
montane forests, Shola forests (patches of ever green forests) valley of rhododendrons,
wild flowers, Gurgling mountain streams, tea plantations, tea estates and the villages
etc.....
