INTRODUCTION TO THE COMPANY

SCOPE STATEMENT
GOAL OF THE PROJECT
To study the project carried out by HDB Financial Services Ltd for its Central Operations branch
located in Hyderabad, for reducing the turnaround time for processing of loan files and
documents

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

To study the rational of the project.

To study the various activities carried out during the project conducted by HDBFS.

To study and analyze the issues faced by HDB during this project.

To study the constraints and restrictions of the project done in HDBFS.

DELIVERABLES OF THE PROJECT


A project report on HDB Financial Services which studies reduction of turnaround time of
certain processes

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

Phase 1: To evaluate various projects that can be studied and deciding upon a project.

Phase 2: Exploratory research to understand the organization, working environment and the
project.

Phase 3: Interaction with the Project Manager Mr. Karthik Krishnan V, to understand the
various facets of the project under study and to get an in depth understanding of the same.

Phase 4: Critical analysis of how the project was handled based on the information collected
in the exploratory and primary research using the concepts of Project Management.

Phase 5: Identifying the challenges and problems faced, and accordingly providing feasible
recommendations and suggestions for improvement. Also, understanding the difficulties
foreseen in implementation of these suggestions.

Phase 6: Documentation of the report and final presentation.

The activities of the project are scheduled as follows:

FORESEEABLE CONSTRAINTS

The analysis would be constrained by the amount of information provided by the company.
Some confidential information may not be communicated to us and there may be little scope
for finding out if such information existed

Time may be a constraint for the team members

Scheduling meetings and interviews with the relevant authorities may make some of the
activities to take longer than their intended durations

Inaccurate estimate of costs in budget.

Since the location of this project is Hyderabad, we cannot personally go and check the details
and thus depend on the information provided by the Project Manager.

ASSUMPTIONS
The following assumptions have been made at the start of the project:

The company officials would provide us with authentic information regarding their project.

The data related to budget is allowed to be disclosed and will be shared by us without any
major hassles.

The information shared by all the people queried is true to the best of their knowledge

The stakeholders and the event officials will have enough time to discuss with us regarding
our queries and doubts.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEAM MEMBERS


Working as a team, all the members have some joint and individual responsibilities. A few of the
same are listed below:

Wholeheartedly participate in all the discussions relating to the project


Take interest in the project related activities and meetings

Make appointments with the concerned authorities in the organization and schedule and
conduct meetings to get relevant information so as to execute our project

Ensure that all the deliverables are as per the specifications and on schedule

Ensure that all the work happens within the time and cost constraints

BOUNDARIES OF THE PROJECT

Analysis of the companys project would be based on the information communicated by


them. No information over and above what is communicated to us may be used for
understanding of the companys project

The project under study encompasses only for the project conducted in Hyderabad COPS.
