Supplier
Assessment
Supplier Assessment is a decision tool for purchasers who are coping with suppliers qualification and their
ability to manufacture specified industrial components or provide services.
Bureau Veritas typical deliverable is a gap assessment or analysis report, including recommendations to
move forward and follow-up suggestions.
Shop Inspection involves inspecting items at their manufacturing location before delivery.
Shop Inspection
Expediting
Services
Our qualified local terms are familiar with inspecting kinds of supplies taking into account applicable
regulations or other specific requirements: materials and components, mechanical equipment and machinery
and electrical equipment. Shop inspection can include design review, review of material certificates, visual
inspection and Non Destructive Testing (NDT)
Expediting is one of the major activities contributing to the successful execution of major projects; it
enables the site construction work to proceed as scheduled and helps to minimize delays and costly product
deficiency.
Bureasu Veritas expeditors are onsite to monitor and follow up on the progress of various critical path
tasks. This includes: Order status; Inventor of equipment in stock; Design verifications; Progress in
Manufacturing, Testing, Packing, Shipment and Delivery.

Process Safety
Management
Process Safety Management (PSM) is a part of safety management, which is concerned with major hazards
impacting safety, environmental damage and business loss. PSM techniques are numerous from process
screening and concept selection, through hazard identification, consequence evaluation, risk assessment,
ALARP study, pre-start-up action response auditing, to inspection and auditing during operation.
Bureau Veritas is a widely recognized world leader in many of the elements of PSM. We offer PSM
technologies to cover the needs of typical oil and gas industry operations.
Quantified Risk
Assessment
HAZID/HAZOP
Quantified Risk Assessment (QRA) provides input on safety issues during the design, operation and
regulation of hazardous activities. In addition, QRA provides a rational basis for monitoring risks and
providing specific decision-making guidance: Act as decision aid regarding wheter the risks need to be
reduced; propose targets for risk measures; Design basis for fire and blast protection as well as emergency
planning and training and identified safety-critical procedures and equipment.
HAZID study is a tool for hazard identification, used early in a project as sson as process flow diagrams,
draft heat and mass balances, and plot layouts are available. The method is a design-enabling tool, acting
to help to deliver HSE compliance, and form part of the project Risk Register required by many licensing
authorities..
HAZOP study is well-proven structured team-based method for HAZID at process design completion or for
planned modifications. The technique makes detailed examination of the process and engineering
intention of new or existing facilities to assess the hazard potential of operation outside the design
intention. HAZOP is led by an experienced facilitator. A core team would typically include personnel from
Process, Instruments, Machines, Project Engineering and Operations, and it might require corporate HSE
staff for some part of work.
Asset Integrity
Management
The objectives of an Asset Integrity Management (AIM) system are to delivery AIM delivers: Safety
improvement; Reliability improvement and optimization of maintenance and inspection activities to meet
safety and business targets. AIM ensures that the assets stay fit for purpose safe and operational under
all circumstance.
Bureau Veritas carries out an initial survey to understand the key issues and followed by a 3-stage process:
Risk assessment; Management decision and reporting-follow-up. Bureau Veritas will develop and implement
Risk-Based inspection/corrosion management programmes, provide qualified inspectors and carry out
investigations of incidnets to identify and remedy root causes of failure.
Design Review
Design Review is an independent assessment of the project engineering phase that can be supplemented
with independent analyses, performed by our specialist engineers.
The safe design of all types of equipment, offshore facilities (structured and topsides), onshore plants (from
refineries to LNG terminals) and pipelines, in standard or extreme conditions (from desert to arctic
environment), can be assessed through certification or verification schemes to suit out client requirements.
