Prince Premium SWR Systems include a wide range of pipes and fittings which have an equally
wide range of applications. Tougher and economical, PRINCE uPVC SWR pipes and Drainage
Systems as well as for Vent Lines when compared to Cast iron and Asbestos Cement Drainage
Systems. What's more,Prince Premium SWR Systems are approved by CPWD, MES, BMC,
CIDCO, MHADA.
This product is certified with "Certificate of
Conformity" from Kenya Bureau of Standard.
Applications
For SWR Drainage Systems at homes, offices, hotels,
industries, hospitals as well as public places such as
airports, railway stations, bus-stands, etc
For overflow lines and chemical waste lines at
industries, dairy plants, food processing plants, etc.
For vent lines in drainage systems and in mining pits.
Advantages
Right from the inherent properties of uPVC to a virtual lifetime of trouble-free performance,
Prince Premium SWR Systems are far more superior to Cast Iron and Asbestos Cement drainage
systems.
Corrosion Resistant : uPVC material is unaffected by most of the chemical and is rustproof.
Fire Resistant : uPVC is self-extinguishing and so special precautions are necessary during
installations.
Longer Lasting: Longer lasting due to its inertness to most chemical and superior mechanical
properties. Also, it remains unharmed by insects or rodents.
Smooth : Smooth inside surface insures effective discharge and high flow rate.
Light Weight : Easy to transport and handle.
Easy to install : Easy to install and less time consuming than CI or AC systems. Rubber ring
sealing ensures leakproof joint.
Strong : Strong with high impact strength, can withstand rough handling.
Easy to maintain : Smooth inside bore and threaded door caps provide ease of inspection and
cleaning.
Durable : No scale formations.
Economical : Economical in every way. All these advantages add up to a significant cost
reduction.

Prince Premium SWR Systems with sliding socket joint are manufactured in dark grey color in
40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 75mm, 90mm, 110mm, 160mm dia sizes, with overall standard length of
3 metres. These pipes conform to indian standards IS: 13592 and are designed to withstand
continuous internal hydraulic pressure of 4kgf/cm so as to ensure life-long trouble- free
working. The pipes are provided with an integral rubber ring type socket at one end while other
end is kept plain, smooth and free from burrs. Rubber ring type socket ends provide easy push-fit
type joining. Simultaneously, allowance for thermal expansion can also be provided during
installation.
Pipe clips
The special design of PRINCE pipe clips keep Prince Premium SWR Pipe & Fittings away from
the building wall, making the building and pipes and fittings, maintenance easy, without SWR
messing up the building exteriors.
Rubber Seal Rings For Joints And Access Doors
Manufactured in accordance with IS: 5382 for 50mm, 75mm, 90mm, 160mm sizes. These are
made out of natural rubber with a shore `A' hardness of 50 5 provide superior resistance to
biological attack. Special design of cross section ensure perfect sealing.
Lubricant
Available in 100gms and 500 gms packing. Specially formulated for
compatability with rubber seal as well as PVC.Does not support the growth
of bacteria or fungi.
Installation Methods
Above Ground Installation
PRINCE uPVC Pipe Clips should be used with a spacing of about 900mm for vertical laying.
Use of fitting with door and cleaning pipe may be made at suitable points to provide access for
inspection and cleaning.
Underground Installation
For laying uPVC Pipes in trenches, trench width should not be less than pipe diameter plus
300mm, while trench depth should be about 600 to 1000mm, depending upon the size of the pipe
and slope required for gravity flow. Care should be taken to avoid dirt entering the joints.
Pipelines should not be laid on submerged rock. Testing of the line should be done before filling
back the trench.
Concealed Installation
For concealing the drain lines, slots are made in the wall or concrete. The slot size should be such
that the system remains stress free at the time of installation. Sharp edges should be avoided.
UPVC Pipes and Fittings should be cleaned and a light coat of solvent cement applied externally
before they are inserted in the slots. Sprinkle dry sand on them to form a good base for proper
fixing with cement. Leakage test must be carried out before concealing the system.
Subsequent Installation
Branch lines can be provided to existing SWR system using PRINCE fitting, such as 'y' or 't'.
Use of single or Double repair coupler is made for this purpose.
Testing Before Use
Before the systems is put into use, it should be tested for leakages by air test hydraulic test or
smoke test.
Maintenance
Once installed Prince Premium SWR Systems require no maintenance. However, threaded door
caps with rubber ring seals are provided on fitting for easy access while cleaning. Small
breakages in the pipe can be repaired by fixing two halves of a PVC pipe on the damaged portion
Step 1:
Cut the pvc with a fine toothed saw to the required length. Pipe
should be cut square.
Step 2:
Chamfer the edge of the pipe to be inserted at an angle of about 15
to about 1/3rd the wall thickness, using a coarse file.
Step 3:
Make sure the spigot and socket are thoroughly clean and dry.
Step 4:
Insert the pipe into the socket without the seal ring and mark along
the pipe, when it is fully inserted.
Step 5:
Fix the rubber ring into the groove without twisting it.
Step 6:
Apply PRINCE jointing lubricant to the chamfered end of the pipe,
up to the mark made on spigot or to the socket end of fitting.
Step 7 :
Push the pipe firmly into the socket till the gap between the mark on
the spigot and socket is about 10mm to allow for thermal expansion.

Step 2:
Push-fit the nahani trap straight into the pipe/fitting.
Step 2:
European WC with 'P' trap
Step 3:
Place lip-ring on the socket end of the WC Connector and then
apply rubber lubricant over the inside portion of the lip-ring.
Step 4:
Push-fit the WC Connector over the outlet of the EWC 'p' trap.
Step 2:
Bend WC Connector with lip-ring and rubber lubricant.
Step 3:
Place rubber ring over the socket of the Bend WC Connector
and apply rubber lubricant over the inside portion of the lipring.
Step 4:
Push-fit the Bend WC Connector over the outlet of the EWC 's'
trap.

Step 2:
Apply thin coat of solvent cement on roughened surface with
brush.
Step 3:
Sprinkle medium size dry sand on the solvent cement coat and
leave it to dry for few minutes. A rough base is ready for good
bonding with cement.
Step 4:
Insert the solvent cement base PVC pipe in to the socket of
C.I./A.C & fill the gap with ordinary portland cement.
Jointing CI-PVC
Step 1:
For jointing CI into PVC make rough solvent base on the inside
socket portion of pipe/fitting of PVC as shown in above figure.
Insert CI pipe in PVC pipe/fitting socket and fill the gap with
ordinary portland cement.
Step 2:
For jointing 10ft. pipe vertically one pipe clip to be fixed just below the socket and other
clip at the centre of the pipe. i.e. at 5ft distance as shown in the diagram.
Step 3:
For horizontal fixing of PVC pipes, pipes clip, should be fixed
at 3ft. internal as shown in the diagram.
