Christmas programs at the Junior College, Jr. High School were over early in the month. The
rest of our time was spent visiting the children's hospital, caroling, in the Sunday School pro
gram, a candle light service and church sukiyaki dinner. Along with people all over Japan, our
group enlisted customers to visit the local movie theatre to see "Shiokari Mountain Pass". This
is based upon Ayako Miura's best selling Christian novel. Pray for its influence and that of re
cent showing on TV of "The Robe" and "The King of Kings".
Oh Christmas .day>'we were honored by the presence of a Japanese family, a Viet Nam student a
Nigerian'student, and--a^sailor from Minnesota as well as Rod and Debbie. In the afternoon, who
should show up at our doo'F~bu-t~Hideto Yoshii, unexpectedly returning from his graduate study at

their offerings, coupled with gifts from other churches in Japan and their work have made this a
local project. So the building has not been handed to them by the Americans. We are so theinkful
