Color

I changed the logo color to better match the colors I used for the rest of the
design. The original logo was red and white which stuck out in a weird way with
the other colors. The color choice of tan also implements a more thought out color
scheme within the package.

Branding

Another facet of the logo color change I felt was beneficial to the brand is that a more
sophisticated color palette ads more sophistication to the overall brand and the
product. The logo color made a huge difference in the overall design.

Keep it simple

I also opted to use the simplified version of their logo opposed to the one on the
original hot chocolate box. The reasoning behind using their simpler logo was to not
distract from other design elements, and also to unify the brand across products for
consumers to easily be able to recognize that this product is be Nestle.

Target Audience

Demographic

Nestle is a family brand because it is not


super expensive. It is geared towards young
families with children.
The price could also attract college
students, especially those who have
experienced Hispanic culture and want to
reminisce that culture in a cup of
hot chocolate.

Black & White

If the logo needs to be used in black and white, I would suggest


that It be used in white since the other colors would be darker
shades of gray since they are currently mid tone and dark browns,
so a white logo would
brighten up the design.

Size & Placement

The logo should always be sized proportionate to the product

After & Before

Print Ad /Digital Ad

Social media use would include a link to the website as


well as a how-to video featuring a Youtube chef or Food
Netwark star preparing the cupcakes.
Other digital ad uses would have a clickable image that
would bring the user to the website page.

Media Assets
Photos for use in print ads, digital ads, and
overall product photography ads. Photos taken
using 2 speedlights and a Canon T5.
The positioning of the canister and the lighting
displays the front and back labels as well as the
top label for an example of the new and more
creative package redesign.
