HADIS-E-MASOOM(A.S)

1) Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari narrates from Mola Imam Jaffer

Sadiq(as) and He narrates from His pure ancestors,"The year in
which Makkah was conquered the compainions approached the
Prophet(saww) and said,"O Prophet of Allah! It has been an act of the
past Prophets that when their Prophetic duties were over they used to
appoint a successor who used to be an upright person, continued
their duties after them and followed their path after them so whom
have you made the caliph after you?" The Prophet(saww) replied,"My
Allah has promised me that whoever he wants to appoint as the
caliph after me he will reveal a sign from the sky so that everyone will
become aware that who is my successor after me." After the Isha
prayers darkness spread and the people began to gaze at the sky to
see what result comes out. Darkness was present everywhere when
everyone saw a bright light which spread towards the east and the
west. In reality a star had come down from the sky and it visited
house after house until it finally stopped and stayed at the home of
Mola Amir-ul-Momineen(as). It's light was very bright and engulfed
the house. It's rays spread and brightend every house; at first the
people were surprised but then began to praise Allah and went to the
Prophet(saww) saying that the star has been revealed on the roof of
Mola Ali's house. Upon hearing this the Prophet(saww) stood up and
said,"I swear by Allah he is the Imam and my successor after me, he
will establish my matters and propagate them. You all should follow
him and do not oppose him or seperate from him. He is the Caliph of
Allah on his land after me. After this a person among the hypocrites
stood up and said,"Whatever he says regarding his uncle's son is due
to his own desires(mazallah). He has gone astray to such an extent
that if it was in his hands he would have made Ali ibn Abi Talib(as) a
prophet after himself." At that moment Jibrael appeared and said,"
Allah conveys his greetings to you and asks you to recite the
following verse: "By the star when it goes down. Your
companion(Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred. Nor
does he speak of(his own) desire. It is only an Inspiration that is
inspired." (Surah an-Najm: verse.1-4)

ٰ‫حى‬ ٌ ۡ‫ل َوح‬ ۡ ِ ٰٓ‫ن ٱ ۡلَهَوى‬
ّ ‫إن ُهَو ِإ‬ ِ‫ع‬
َ ُ‫طق‬ َ ‫حُبُكمۡ َوَما‬
ِ ‫غَوىٰ َوَما َين‬ ِ ‫صا‬
َ ‫ل‬
ّ‫ض‬َ ‫َوٱلّنجِۡم ِإَذا َهَوىٰ َما‬

(Surah an-Najm: verse.1-4)

2) Ibn Abbas narrates that the Prophet of Allah said,"After me one
who oppresses ALI(as) in regard to the successorship and takes his
rights from him the place where I am sitting that person is such that
he has rejected my prophethood and the prophethood of the all the
prophets before me.

3) In Shera-e-Maqasid it is written that the Prophet(saww) gathered

all the children of Abdul Mutalib and said,"This Ali ibn Abi Talib(as) is
my brother, my successor and my caliph listen to him after me and
follow him in every matter after me."

4) It is narrated in Yanabi-ul-Mawadat that the Prophet(saww)

said,"Ali ibn Abi Talib is my successor and caliph after me." It is also
narrated that Prophet said,"Ali ibn Abi Talib is my caliph and my
advisor if there was prophethood after me it would've been given to
Ali ibn Abi Talib(as) and he is my brother and successor in this world
and the hereafter."

5) Jabir bin Jaffi says that I heard from Jabir ibn Abdullah Ansari that
he used to say when this ayat was revealed to the Prophet(saww):
"O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and
those in authority among you."(sorah / Al-nisa / verse / 59) Then I
asked the Prophet(saww),"O Prophet of Allah! I recognise Allah and
his Prophet but who are those in authority whom it has been made
obligatory to obey along with obeying you?" Then the Prophet(saww)
said,"Those in authority are the caliphs after me. The first of them is:
(1) ALI IBN ABI TALIB(AS) then after him
(2) HASSAN(A.S)
(3) HUSSAIN(A.S)
(4) ALI IBN E HUSSAIN(A.S)
(5) MUHAMMAD IBN E ALI(A.S) who is famous in the Torah by the
name BAQAR(AS). It is near that you would meet him when you do
convey my salutations to him. Then he continued
(6) JAFFAR IBN E MUHAMMAD(A.S)
(7) MUSA IBN E JAFFAR(A.S)
(8) ALI IBN E MUSA(A.S)
(9) MUHAMMAD IBN E ALI(A.S)
(10) ALI IBN E MUHAMMAD(A.S)
(11) HASSAN IBN E ALI(A.S)
(12) MEHDI QAIM E AL E MUHAMMAD(A.S)
and this QAIM E AL E MUHAMMAD(A.S) is one on whose hands
Allah will grant victory in the east and the west and he is one who
shall be hidden from his followers/shias and friends. His
occulation(Ghaibat) shall last such a long period that none shall
believe in his leadership(imammat) but a believer whose heart has
been tested by Allah." I asked,"O Prophet of Allah! During ghaibat of
Imam will his shias benifit from him?" He replied,"Yes, I swear by the
one who sent me as a prophet, shia will gain light through the light of
the Qaim and will benifit through his wilayat just like they benifit from
the sun when it is behind the clouds. O Jabir this is one of the secrets
from the treasures of Allah. Keep it hidden from the strangers except
those who will believe."
