An Analysis of Teacher Reinforcement in the English Teaching Learning Process at Islamic

High school 2 padang


1.1 Background of the problem
Teaching is the process to teach something that do by teacher and give for students and in
the process have the connection to each other such as tacher give a explanation so that the
students give their respon for the explanation. Teaching english in the course is important
because english is used by all of people in the world so that the course it is important because
of that teacher must be creative to create some progress to make students to follow their rules
and the goal in the teaching will be achieved. To make the objective of the teaching teacher
should make an effective classroom one of them with the teacher reinforcement.
Reinforcemnet refers to stimulus and respon. Teacher reinforcement is important because
the teacher can control and recognized the class. Teacher reinforcement cab be 2 categoriez
there are positve and negative reinforcement. Positive reinforcement occurrs when the teacher
use a rewarding stimulus to motivate some action or behavior. Meanwhile negative behavior
involves removing students from an unpleasant stimulus, such as dentention or threat of
punishment.
Teacher reinforcement is very usefull because it can make the students follow what the
rules of the teacher. In the phenomena, in the teaching learning proces for the teacher who
iimplied the reinforcement can make some progres for the students. such as the the teacher
give some reward for the studets in the teaching learning process the students feel they get or
they believe that their ability so that they can develop their knowledge or their skill be bettter.
Meanwhile the teacher who implied the reincorcement like gove some punishment can make
the students know what they are mistake and do not it anymore.

So that in the teaching learning process teacher should implied what the teacher should do
not take it without analysis first.
1.2 Identification of the problems
There are so many problems that researcher find of this research such as first, teacher give
some reward for students who can answer the question from teacher. But most of teacher give
some reward can make others students jealous because they think the teacher dont fair to
each other because sometimes teacher give some reward like a thing and sometimes like a
prise. Second, the teacher give some punishments for the students. it make the students do not
have the self confidents and think that anybody do not care with them. And sometime the
teacher give punishment over with the students.
1.3 Limitation of the problem
Based on identification of the problem above, there are some problems that occure while
teacher reinforcement in the teaching learning process. The researcher limits the problem on
ot see analysis of the teachers reinforcement in the teaching learning process and focus on
positive reinforcement
1.4 Formulation of the problem
The problem of this study formulated as follow how is the teacher reinforcement for the
students in the teaching learning process?

Related to formulation of the problem above, this research is aimed to answer this

1. What is the positive reinforcement?
2. Why teacher reinforcement important for the students?
3. What are kind of the reinforcement?
1.6 The purpose of the problem
The purpose of the research is to find out analysis of teachers reinforcement in the
teaching learning process
1.7 Significant of the research
From this research, the researcher hopes that it can helpfull for teacher, reader, student
and also researcher.
