Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival Vienna
Transfer from Vienna International Airport or Train station in Vienna to hotel.
(Standard Check in Time is 3pm). Rest of the day free at leisure. Get the feel of Vienna, a sophisticated
and elegant city. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 02

Vienna / Salzburg
Breakfast at hotel. Make your own way to the meeting point for the morning City Tour & Schnbrunn
Palace. This city tour will introduce you to the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive
around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of
Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall
and the University. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a
tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by
Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to
the State Opera House, where the tour ends. Later, return to your Hotel. In the late afternoon, proceed
on own to Vienna station to connect your train to Salzburg. On arrival in Salzburg and make your own way
to the Hotel. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 03

Salzburg
Breakfast at hotel. Take the Original Sound of Music tour. Relive the true story of the Von Trapp family
which was filmed as the 'Sound of Music' in the Salzburg area. The tour, is a combination of sightseeing in
this historical city itself and in the beautiful lakes and mountains area known as the Salzkammergut,
which is also a famous musical and cultural centre. The highlights and film locations of the 'Sound of
Music', such as the beautiful gardens in Hellbrunn (where Liesl and Rolf sang 'I am 16 going on 17'), and
the wedding church in Mondsee are a treat for all fans of the film.
Rest of the day is free for you to explore this city. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 04

Salzburg
A day for you to continue to explore the city or you may make your own way to Salzburg train station for
todays journey to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. The train journey will take approx. 2 hours passing
through spectacular mountain scenery. Have a fun filled day in Innsbruck and return to Salzburg by train
in the evening. Overnight in Salzburg.

Day 05

Salzburg / Vienna
After breakfast, make your own way to Salzburg train station for your rail journey to Vienna. Arrive
Vienna, make your own way to your hotel. Consider spending some time in Vienna to further explore this
modern metropolis and its imperial past. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 06

Vienna
After breakfast, time to bid farewell to this beautiful city before your transfer to the Vienna airport for
your flight home or you may want to extend your stay in other cities of Europe.

Availability of triple rooms is limited. Substitute hotels may be used at certain times and
will be of similar standard whenever possible. Please note that single rooms in Europe may
be smaller than twin-bedded rooms.
