NOTES
For registration you will need to follow the instructions as outlined at the web-site of the International
Foundation for Production Research. Alternatively, you can contact the Chair of the Committee Doctoral
Training and Early Career Researchers Programme: Dr Rob Dekkers (rob.dekkers@glasgow.ac.uk).
Note that the organisers of the 23rd International Conference on Production Research will charge a
compulsory subsistence fee of US$40 for attending the doctoral workshop. (Payment will be made on the
first day of the workshop in cash.)
The deadline for applying to the doctoral workshop is 15 th April, 2015 (GMT). The maximum number of
participants is limited to 30. Might be more than eligible 30 candidates apply, then the Committee Doctoral
Training and Early Career Researchers Programme will prioritise attendance and notify the applicants as
soon as possible. Might less than 30 eligible candidates apply, then applications will be treated on a first
come, first serve basis.
For the session Discussion of Papers and Research Projects (Friday 31st July - Sunday 2nd August, 2015,
final session of the workshop each day) you have to prepare a Powerpoint presentation of 20. This
presentation should cover your research project for the doctoral study but not necessarily the contents of the
paper you are presenting during the conference. Each presentation will be discussed by one or two
discussants (max. 15), followed by a discussion led by a board member of the International Foundation of
Production Research. The discussants will receive the papers in advance so that they can prepare their
commentary.
For the session Meet the Board Event (Monday 3 rd August, 2015) you have to prepare a poster about your
doctoral study. This presentation should cover your research project for the doctoral study but not
necessarily the contents of the paper you are presenting during the conference. The size of the poster is
max. A0.
To receive a certificate, you are expected to attend all sessions. The organisers of the ICPR-23 will ensure
that the presentation of a paper will not coincide with attendance to the doctoral workshop.
