HGS opens new facility in Pune
29 March 2016, Pune, India: Hinduja Global Solutions Limited (HGS) (Listed on NSE & BSE,
India), today announced that it has launched a new center in Pune, India. With an initial capacity
of over 320 seats and 600 employees, HGS expects to expand further to touch a headcount of
1,000 by end of FY 2016-17 in the Pune center.
Commenting on this development, Partha DeSarkar, Chief Executive Officer, HGS said,
HGS has been steadily expanding its delivery footprint in India to capitalize on the growing
business opportunities in this market. The new center in Pune will augment our ability to support
the increasingly sophisticated needs of our domestic clients with high-value services.
HGS entered Pune through the acquisition of a significant part of Mphasis BPM operations in
India in September, 2015. The new facility will consolidate existing operations and new business
in one location. Currently, the team provides customer care support to premium segment
customers of a telecom client in India.
Pune has a huge talent base of English-speaking graduates and HGS is looking to leverage this
pool to provide comprehensive customer experience solutions to clients in telecom, financial
services and ecommerce verticals.
