AJRW Change Asset Fiscal Year

Purpose
Use this procedure to carry forward asset values from the previous fiscal year and post asset values for
the new fiscal year in the FI-AA module.
Trigger
Perform this procedure when you need to post asset values for the new fiscal year and carry forward the
asset values from the previous fiscal year.
Prerequisites
The system date must be in the 12 th month of the current fiscal year.

R/O/C column in tables represents Required, Optional, or Conditional entry.

Ensure that the Test Run check box is selected until it is time to open the next fiscal year for
all asset postings.

Procedure
1.
Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code. The Asset fiscal year change screen
displays.

As required, complete/review the following fields:

Description
Company code represents an independent accounting
entity. There is only one Company code for the City of
Portland: "COP1."
Example:

New fiscal year
Description
There are 12 months in a fiscal year here at the City of
Portland. The fiscal year can be the same as the calendar
year, but in this case a new Fiscal year begins July 1 and
runs through June 30.

Only 1000 assets can be carried forward at one time. Repeat the online processing for all
assets repeating Steps 1-5 without the Text run check box selected.
