Business Overview:
Part of the North America CIB Finance & Tax Department, the Strategic Financial
Management teams responsibilities cover the following areas for North America:
Financial Management & Corporate Development: business acquisitions, new
business developments (including joint ventures) and disposal of business,
optimization of the legal & financial structure.
Performance Management: management accounting teams supporting the
business lines.
Responsibilities:
Within this team, the intern will assist in Financial Management and Corporate Development
projects, in coordination with the appropriate business lines and functions, mainly:
1. Corporate Development projects, in coordination with the person responsible for
Corporate Development, the intern will assist on:
Elaborate the business plans and run valuation analysis.
Coordinate due diligence.
Prepare presentations of the projects for the Regional and Head Office
managements.
2. Financial Management projects, in coordination with the responsible for Financial
Management, the intern will assist on:
Projects related to the optimization of the legal & financial structure of our
activities: internal restructurings, mergers of entities, transfer of activities,
liquidations, capital increase and decrease, structuring of the creation of
new entities, especially in the frame of new upcoming regulations.
3. Support regional ad-hoc transformation projects.
4. Conduct benchmarking and market intelligence analysis on the strategy of BNP
Paribas main competitors.
He/She will mainly rely and work in cooperation with:
Local business lines, in coordination with the client service teams of the North
America Finance & Tax Department.

Qualifications:
Studies in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or other related
field of study.
At least one previous internship is a plus, during which he/she was able to acquire a
good knowledge in one or several of the above areas.
Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills, as well as, good communication abilities and
knowledge in terms of project management.
Prior experience in a Corporate Finance Team or in the corporate development
department of a financial institution is a major plus.
