Hi Carol.

As you may know, I placed a call to the Board of Education earlier today looking to arrange a meeting between
you, your staff and the Mayor's team. This involves a very important opportunity for the City of Ansonia and the
Board of Education to realize a substantial savings for residents and our students.
Specifically, we are looking for your signature on the attached release for information for the USI lnsurance
Services. We believe the possibility exists for tremendous savings, but USI needs access to the Board of
Education's lnsurance information. We are looking for no more than your signature on this release so that the
numbers can be evaluated.
I spoke with Fran a short while ago to schedule an urgent meeting on this topic. I was informed that you will be
leaving now for an appointment and will not be available for the remainder of the day. I was also informed that
you are not available at any time tomonow during work hours and unavailable for an evening meeting. I was told
the soonest opportunity to meet with you was possibly Thursday atZpm.l would very much like to meet to
discuss ways the City of Ansonia and the Board of Education can work together for the mutual benefit of our
taxpayers, however, given the urgency, we ask that you sign the release for USI as soon as possible so that we
do not lose this important opportunity.

As you know there is no down side to USI running the numbers: no cost to the Board of Education, no
infringement on anyone's privacy rights and certainly no impact/change on the quality of insurance we provide to
our education and city employees.
We simply want to see how much we can save for the city and our schools. We need your cooperation to do it.
