THE UNIVERSITY
Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan established in 1975, is offering
various Master & Ph.D Programmes. The University has a highly qualified
faculty. University Campus is located on Bosan Road at approximately 9
K.M from District Courts. The University is known for its peaceful
academic atmosphere, Computing facilities, modern library, lush green
campus, its lined trees and beautiful buildings. The University has a large
fleet of buses which ply from morning till late evening between campus
and the city. It has four sub campuses located in Multan, D.G Khan,
Sahiwal and Layyah. The University got over all 5th ranking amongst
Pakistani Universities and it is ranked No.1 among the Universities
established after 1975.
CITY CAMPUS MULTAN
The major objectives to start IMS-City campus are that due to increasing
demand for the business education. Each year IMS used to receive
thousands of applications for admissions to its MBA & BBA programs. But
due to limited number of seats only a few applicants are able to get
admissions in IMS University Campus programs. So many students remain
without admissions or alternately take admissions in unrecognized/lowstandard institutes working in the city. Therefore, realizing the need of the
people the university has decided to start its City Campus. In addition, to
facilitate the working people who wish to seek admission in MBA
(Executive), near to their offices, the university has established this
campus. Moreover, it was impossible for the university to start its new
MBA/BBA programs in university campus of IMS due to space shortage.
So it has become imperative to establish a new campus in the city.
The City Campus of the University is situated in a beautiful building on 26A, Officers Colony, Bosan Road Multan. It was established in November
2007 with the aims to fulfill increased demand of business education for
this area. The campus got warm welcome from the public and has received
thousands of application for admission in last years. The Campus has very
conducive and congenial environment of study for students, highly
qualified faculty, well established computer lab, library and modern class
rooms equipped with state of the art technology.
TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS (BZU MAIN CAMPUS)
We live in an environment where telecommunications play a very important role.
Telecommunication System programs provide training in the necessary skills
including the application of computer technology in telecommunications, how the
digital age is applied in the field, fiber optic technology, amplitude and frequency
modulation and of course the Internet. Those who already have experience in
electronics and information technology are already at an advantage and can expect to
have the best opportunities.
D.G KHAN SUBCAMPUS
In order to improve the academic facilities of remote areas; D.G.Khan sub campus
was established in 2004 by Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. The campus has
grown from one department to five departments within a span of just five years with
many new departments in pipe line as well.
SAHIWAL SUBCAMPUS
The city of Sahiwal is ideally located in the centre of the Punjab and it has been
known as a city of excellence in education since long. However, it was lacking in the
field of Higher Education. To bridge the gap, The Bahauddin Zakariya University
has come forward with full devotion providing all the needed resources and one of
its sub campus has been operational in Sahiwal since January 2005 to promote the
policy of the Government and to bring education at the doorsteps of the masses. The
University is continuously making efforts to broaden the scope of the campus and
new programs are being introduced at Sahiwal.
FACILITIES
All the sub campuses are equipped with state of the art computer labs and have
incomparable facilities in terms of class rooms, library and Multi Media System
facility also provided to demonstrate the lectures. Mostly class rooms are air
conditioned.
Notes:
1.
Thirty percent (30%) weightage to marks obtained in the Aptitude/Entry Test +
70% weightage to (marks obtained in respective degree/certificate + 20 marks
for Hifz-e-Quran)
2.
No hostel facility, for time being, will be available for the students of these
programs.
3.
Candidates who have already qualified the customized aptitude test conducted
by NTS for BZU in July/August 2009 are also eligible to apply for .
4.
Candidates not holding Pakistani Nationality, shall route their applications
through the Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad.
5.

BBA(Hons.) Program
4 years (Morning)
BBA(Hons) 4 years programs consisting of 8 semester. Offers
diversity of subjects in different business related areas to develop
requisite skills necessary to acquire before taking up higher level
course to be offered in MBA.
Eligibility for BBA
Intermediate examination or equivalent from a recognized Board
or Institution securing at least 45% marks in aggregate are eligible
to apply for admission in BBA (Hons.) Program. Graduates are
not eligible for admission in BBA(Hons.).
MBA Program
31/2 Years
(Morning/Evening)
This full time Morning MBA program offers broad based
knowledge in a number of Business areas and prepares the
students for versatile management career. It required three years or
six semesters and a business Project of six credit hours over a
period of additional one semester specializing in Marketing,
Finance and Human Resource Management
Eligibility for MBA
For admission in MBA, the candidate is required to have at least
45% marks in B.A/B.Sc/B.Com. or equivalent.
MBA-Executive 2 Years
(Evening)
The MBA-Executive Program has been introduced for the benefit of
working people, but fresh sixteen years of non business education
degree holders can also apply, it offers more flexibility and practical
orientation to students, though basically it is a two years programs
but a student can complete it in a maximum period of 4 years if one
wishes to take less number of courses, in a semester.
Eligibility for MBA-Executive
For admission in MBA-Executive, the candidate is required to
have at least 2nd div in 16 years non-business education
(MA/MSc, 4 years Bachelor degree like BE, MBBS, BS, BSc Agri
etc. or BA/BSc/B.Com or equivalent with minimum of 4 years
experience in Business/ Industrial/ Commercial/ Public Limited /
Private Limited organization with minimum of 50 million assets
or Government servants with BPS 17 or above.
BS (TS)

(Evening)
4-Year Degree Program (Bachelor of Science in
Telecommunication System) spread over 8 semesters.
Eligibility for BS (TS)
F.Sc. (with Mathematics/Physics) or equivalent with 45%
aggregate marks.
M.Sc. (TS)

(Evening)
2-Year Degree Program (Master of Science in Telecommunication
Systems) spread over 4 semester.
Eligibility for M.Sc. (TS)
MCS/MIT/BS(CS/IT) / B.Sc. Engg. (Electrical/Electronics) /
B.Sc. with Computer+Math / Math-A&B / Math+Physics) or
equivalent securing at least 45% marks.
