First method:

Restart computer and insert Windows 8 or Windows 10 bootable media into optical
media drive (You can create Windows 10 bootable media on this page)
On the displayed Windows Setup box, click Next
On the next page, click Repair your computer
On Choose an option screen, click Troubleshoot
On Troubleshoot screen, click Advanced options
On Advanced options screen, click Command Prompt
On the opened Command Prompt window type C: and hit Enter.
On C: prompt, type the following command and press Enter to enable legacy advanc
ed boot menu:
BCDEDIT /SET {DEFAULT} BOOTMENUPOLICY LEGACY
Once the command executed successfully, type EXIT command to close the Command P
rompt window
Back on the Choose an option screen, click Continue and start your computer norm
ally
Second method:
If Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 fails to start correctly you will have to choose th
e See advanced repair options .
In the window that shows next left click or tap on the Troubleshoot feature.
In the Troubleshoot window left click or tap on the Advanced Options
In the Advanced Options window left click or tap on the Startup Settings feature.
Left click or tap on the Restart button situated in the lower right side of the sc
reen.
Now your operating system should boot with the minimum system requirements.
If the system started you will need to move the mouse over to the upper right si
de of the window.
Left click or tap on the Search feature situated in the menu that appeared.
In the search box write the following: cmd without the quotes.
Right click on the Command Prompt icon.
Left click or tap on the Run as Administrator feature.
Now you should have the command prompt window with administrative rights in fron
t of you.
Write the following in the command prompt window: sfc /scannow without the quotes.
Press the Enter button on the keyboard.
Let the process finish and write the following in the command prompt: Exit .
Press the Enter button on the keyboard.
Move the mouse cursor again over to the upper right side of the screen.
From the Charms menu go down and left click or tap on the Search feature.
In the search box write the following: memory without the quotes.
After the search has finished left click or tap on the Diagnose your computer s mem
ory problems .
Left click or tap on the Restart now and check for problems feature.
Now after the reboot of the operating system it will automatically check your RA
M memory and display the possible reasons as why you get the Blue Screen error m
essage in Windows 8.1 or Windows 10
Reboot the Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 operating system normally.
Check to see if it still gives you the BSOD message.

Third method:
We will have to check the memory to make sure it is properly placed into the soc
ket and it is functioning correctly.
Note: It is always a safe bet to try and change it with another memory or change

the slot in which it is plugged into the motherboard and reboot the Windows 8.1
or Windows 10 to see if it starts.
Fourth method:
You will have to check the hard drive to see if it can function correctly so mak
e sure that it is plugged in correctly into your device and again if you have a
spare hard drive try changing it to see if it starts correctly.
Now if your operating system starts and it only gives you this

Now run this application by following the instructions on the screen to find out
what drivers are out of date and update them using the same application.
Second Method:
Run a full system virus and malware scan with your antivirus.
If it found a threat you will need to remove it by using the same antivirus.
Note: If the antivirus cannot remove the virus first you should try installing a
different antivirus to see if it works, if it does not then you will most likel
y have to restore your operating system to a point where you did not had this is
sue or completely reinstall the operating system.
Third Method:
Press and hold the Windows button and the E button.
Now you should have the Computer window in front of you.
Note: Depending on how many partitions you have you will have to do the steps be
low for all of them.
Right click on the partition.
Left click or tap on the Properties feature present in the menu that pops up.
Left click or tap on the Tools tab situated in the upper side of the Properties wind
ow.
From the Tools feature left click or tap on the Check button under the Error Checki
ng topic.
Follow the instructions on the screen to finish the error checking and also choo
se the Repair Drive option if Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 has found errors on the dr
ive.
Note: This process can be very time consuming so depending on the hard drive s mem
ory it can go between half an hour and two hours before it is done.
