THE REAL PURPOSE OF LIFE -WHO TAUGHT US

The most noble, successful and influential man who once walked on
this planet Earth is none but the last prophet Muhammad (Peace be
upon him) because he has captured the minds and hearts of believers
in such a way that they are ready to give every things including their
precious lives happily for the sake of prophet since he only showed us
the real purpose of life. The believers are ready to sacrifice their lives
for the cause which Muhammad (PBUH) wanted to establish for
success of mankind. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) showed
the way of worth living in this world and that is why he is dearer to all
.He emphatically said that non should be worshiped other than Allah
(the Creator, sustainer and Master of the Universe), the people should
judge everything on the basis of Glorious Quran (the words of Allah
revealed to him for the guidance of human-being) and Sunnah (the
actions approved by prophet Muhammad) and must know that death
will not bring happiness to those who will reject the faith of Islam and
does not establish the way which prophet has brought from Allah.
Prophet Muhammad was in fact a perfect man in all respects. He was
crystal clear about the lofty principles which one should possess and
taught the mankind what belief is right what is wrong, which way of
earning is legitimate and what is illegitimate, what relation ship is holy
and what is unholy, what food and drink is permitted and what not
(i.e. is good for health), what actions are good and what are bad, what
dress code is for civilized people and what is for uncivilized one. And
people of the world must accept the way of Allah which He has
commanded through him and must lead the life according to
Almighty’s will and must establish the same in society and finally in
the state .The prophet said that in this work he has been trained by
Allah and people should follow him then only their individual lives as
well as their society and state will prosper. And then only they will be
safe and secure and free from all vices.

By rejecting the faith and the way of life showed by Prophet

Muhammad (PBUH), the nations are damaging themselves. Their
societies are inflicted by drugs; their children are becoming obstinate
and paying no respect to their elders. The relationships are breaking.
The people do not know how to dress, what food and drink is good for
health, how to maintain security of life and property, what knowledge
is beneficial and what is harmful .The health of the people is being
affected by disease and drugs and intake of haram foods and drinks
have made their lives miserable .All sorts of vices are creeping in their
society. Because such nation does not know the purpose of life in this
world .In fact such type of people are groping in the darkness since
they are away from the torch of knowledge provided by Prophet
(PBUH).

Although Prophet Muhammad was inflicted all sorts of trouble by

ignorant people when he told to them that he had brought the
message from Allah. The prophet was successful in establishing a
society free from all vices and made people to submit to the will of
Allah .He never rested till he completed the mission of Islam(the way
of life liked by Allah) and never cursed the people who tortured the
prophet in his mission .The prophet never wanted that people be
punished by Almighty and wished mercy and peace and was very
much eager that the end of life of each individual be on Islam (the
way of life liked by Allah) so that such person do not face torment
after death .The prophet wanted that all people lead a peaceful life in
the present world as well as the world which the people will
immediately face after the death .since prophet was given
knowledge about the life after death so he never rested till he
informed all the people about the consequences of good and bad deed
which every body will face immediately after death .In fact the
prophet was very much eager that no people face any torment from
Allah after death . The most noble, the most successful and the
most influential person was in fact Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) ,the appointed messenger from Almighty,
who transformed each individual who came into contact with
him into civilized and most cultured person and transformed
such barbaric people into the most civilized one with the
powerful knowledge he received from the Almighty. The last
prophet was made merciful for all human beings.

Historians have recorded each and every actions and sayings of

Prophet Muhammad but there is no record of previous prophets such
as Jesus (PBUH) or Moses (PBUH) .In this Circumstances we can not
make role model to the previous Prophets such as Jesus or others. But
we can make role model to prophet Muhammad(PBUH) in all actions
he guided the humanity in all fields and in all subjects be it
maintenance of security of life and property, food and dress,
relationship with fellow being or any other subjects of interest.

A number of learned people have written about Muhammad (PBUH)

after going through his work and the book which was revealed to
prophet from the Creator of heaven and earth. Let us see what these
people say about the last prophet:
Michael H. Hart an astrophysicist says “My choice of Muhammad to lead
the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some
readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in
history who was supremely successful on both the religious and
secular levels. Of humble origins, Muhammad founded and
promulgated one of the world's great religions, and became an
immensely effective political leader. Today, thirteen centuries after his
death, his influence is still powerful and pervasive …. .The influence of
Muhammad through the medium of the Koran has been enormous. It
is probable that the relative influence of Muhammad on Islam has been
larger than the combined influence of Jesus Christ and St. Paul on
Christianity.”

Prof. K. S. Ramakrishna Rao, Head of the department of Philosophy,

Government college for Women University of Mysore, Mandya-571401
Karnataka, says ”To the Arabs, who would fight for forty years on the
slight provocation that a camel belonging to the guest of one tribe had
strayed into the grazing land belonging to other tribe and both sides
had fought till they lost 70,000 lives in all; threatening the extinction
of both the tribes to such furious Arabs, the Prophet of Islam taught
self-control and discipline to the extent of praying even on the
battlefield. In an aged of barbarism, the Battlefield itself was
humanized and strict instructions were issued not to cheat, not to
break trust, not to mutilate, not to kill a child or woman or an old man,
not to hew down date palm nor burn it, not to cut a fruit tree, not to
molest any person engaged in worship. His own treatment with his
bitterest enemies is the noblest example for his followers. At the
conquest of Mecca, he stood at the zenith of his power. The city which
had refused to listen to his mission, which had tortured him and his
followers, which had driven him and his people into exile and which
had unrelentingly persecuted and boycotted him even when he had
taken refuge in a place more than 200 miles away, that city now lay at
his feet. By the laws of war he could have justly avenged all the
cruelties inflicted on him and his people. But what treatment did he
accord to them? Mohammad's heart flowed with affection and he
declared, "This day, there is no REPROOF against you and you
are all free." "This day" he proclaimed, "I trample under my feet
all distinctions between man and man, all hatred between man
and man."He further says” Historical records show that all the
contemporaries of Mohammad both friends foes, acknowledged the
sterling qualities, the spotless honesty, the noble virtues, the absolute
sincerity and every trustworthiness of the apostle of Islam in all walks
of life and in every sphere of human activity. Even the Jews and those
who did not believe in his message, adopted him as the arbiter in their
personal disputes by virtue of his perfect impartiality”

Bosworth Smith remarks, "Head of the state as well as the

Church, he was Caesar and Pope in one; but, he was pope
without the pope's claims, and Caesar without the legions of
Caesar, without an standing army, without a bodyguard,
without a palace, without a fixed revenue. If ever any man had
the right to say that he ruled by a right divine It was
Mohammad, for he had all the power without instruments and
without its support. He cared not for dressing of power. The
simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life."

Thomas Carlyle, struck by this philosophy of life writes "and then also
Islam-that we must submit to God; that our whole strength lies in
resigned submission to Him, whatsoever he does to us, the thing he
sends to us, even if death and worse than death, shall be good, shall
be best; we resign ourselves to God." The same author continues "If
this be Islam, says Goethe, do we not all live in Islam?" Carlyle himself
answers this question of Goethe and says "Yes, all of us that have any
moral life, we all live so. This is yet the highest wisdom that heaven
has revealed to our earth."

In fact the whole world learned lessons of all goodness which

exist today in any form from Islam. So many people have
judged the personality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and
acknowledged the prophet as well wisher of humanity. Indeed
the prophet was very much successful eradicating ills from the
society and exhorted the believers that eradicate the ills of the
society through Quran and Sunnah (the actions approved by
prophet Muhammad in the light of Quran). Those people will
be successful who without waste of time will accept him the
last and final messenger of Almighty and will love him more
than their lives and follows his teachings. The people who will
die after accepting Islam will be rewarded from Allah. Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) says “I am leaving two most precious
things among you all, the one is Glorious Quran (the words
from Almighty for guidance of humanity) and the second is my
Sunnah (the actions approved by prophet Muhammad which is
nothing but explanations of the words of Quran), whoever will
follow these will never go astray and in fact will be among
successful person to be rewarded by the Creator of Heaven and
Earth”.

Indeed the message brought by Prophet Muhammad can only

unite the world people as he has brought the lesson from Allah
–The LESSON OF WORTH LIVING. Whoever will accept and mend
the ways as per the teachings of the prophet will in fact make
place them good place and will form a healthy nation to be
proud of and in such society all people will be safe and secure
and will not earn the wrath from the Almighty .
