Thankyoufortheopportunitytolearnaboutpublichealth.Ithasbeenafabulousexperiencetolearn
theinsandoutsofhowtotakeacommunity,examthem,andmakerecommendationstoward
improvingtheirhealth.Itisvital,Ihavefound,toexplorethepublichealthpeiceofnursinginorderto
understandwhereourclientsarecomingfrom,whetherweendupinthehospitalordoingfieldwork.
Thissemester,Ihavepracticedexercisingmyvoiceandstatingmyneeds.Itisdifficulttoflexthis
muscleasIwouldprefertoquietlypleaseeveryone.IthasbeenapleasureworkingwithEden
Josephassheclearlycaresaboutherstudentsandencouragesthemtomoveintoanunderstanding
ofpublichealthinwaysthatradiatewiththem.Thisencouragementwasjustwhatweneededthis
semester.
Goalsfortheremainderofthesemester:
