Line Spacing: One and a half

Paper and Size: Should be typed on one side of white bond
paper (Size A4).
Numbering : The pages should be numbered consecutively,
starting with the title page and through the text, reference list,
tables and figure legends.

Title: The title should be brief, specific and amendable to

indexing.
Main Body: The main body contents should not exceed 30
pages. The remaining relevant material should be attached as
appendices and Annexure.
Text: The text should be intelligible to readers in different
disciplines and technical terms should be defined. Tables and
figures should be referred to in numerical order. All symbols
and abbreviations must be defined, and used only when
absolutely necessary. Superscripts and subscripts and
ambiguous characters should be clearly indicated. Units of
measure should be metric or, preferably SI.
Figures: In the case of line drawings, one set of originals
(without any lettering) is sufficient, with two copies containing
lettering. In the case of photographs, good prints should be
attached with each copy of the manuscript. Photocopies are
not acceptable. Line drawings should be roughly twice the final
printed size. The correct orientation should be clearly indicated.
Photomicrographs:
Photomicrographs
and
other
photographs should have a scale bar, which should be defined
clearly in the legend.
Summary and Abstract: Summary and abstract should not
exceed 500 words and should convey the main points of the
thesis. It should outline the results and conclusions, and also
enumerate the significance of the results.
References: References should be mentioned in the text and
then again under the heading References. They should be in
chronological order.

Acknowledgements: Acknowledgements should be brief.
