In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Division of Student Development and Enrollment Services will
host the annual It's On Us - Spring Week of Action on Monday, April 18, 2016, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Student
Union - Atrium. The event aims to raise awareness and bring an end to sexual assault. Knightro will be in attendance
for photos. Participants will receive information about sexual assault prevention, free t-shirts and other giveaways.
The event is sponsored by UCF CARES - an umbrella of care-related programs and resources dedicated to fostering
a caring community of Knights. In partnership with various campus partners, UCF CARES is helping to reframe the
conversation surrounding sexual assault in a way that empowers, educates, and engages students to do something,
big or small, to prevent it. UCF CARES focus areas include safety and wellbeing, respect, sexual violence
prevention, and mental health. Earlier this semester, UCF CARES launched its 'From Caring Comes Courage'
awareness campaign.
