Point 1: So that human species will not end.

Human cant live as long as we want on planet earth. The earth will end.
According to some new astrobiological research by Andrew Rushby and fellow
researchers from Englands University of East Anglia , our home planet will not
be habitable for much longer. As our Sun gets older, it will get larger and
warmer, eventually leading to the Earth becoming uninhabitable first to
humans and other complex life in fairly short order, and then, in around 1.75 to
3.25 billion years, to all cellular life as we know it. Due to anthropogenic climate
change, and other variable factors, we dont know exactly when human life will
become untenable on Earth, but the conclusion of the study is pretty clear: Our
time here on Earth is finite, and we better find our way off it sooner rather than
late.
We must find a planet that can be habitable, and this could only be done if we
invest more money of space exploration, to send equipment, robots and rockets
to explore the possible planets that are habitable, or not Homosapien, us human
will go extinct like dinosaurs. Mars can be habitable by earth as scientists proven
with facts and research, but it needs to be explore. Recently, UNSW Australia
astronomers have discovered the closest potentially habitable planet found
outside our solar system so far, orbiting a star just 14 light-years away. The
planet, super earth more than four times the mass of the Earth, is one of three
that the team detected around a red dwarf star called Wolf 1061. But how does
its surface looks like? What are the resources on the planet? We dont know.
Why?
Research:
-Nasa said Of course, even those who say we should explore in principle, for
whatever reason including new frontiers, face the hard reality of funding.
-According to a 2010 CNN/ORC poll, 50% of Americans agreed that the money
spent for the space shuttle program - which ended last year - should be spent
elsewhere. And in a 2009 Gallup poll, the percentage of Americans who believe
the U.S. space program should be scrapped jumped four points: From 4% to 8%
in an 11-year period (1998-2009).
Because theres a limited of space exploration going on due to financial
constraint. We have the equipment, we can build one more hubby telescope to
observe the earth, we can build rover just like curiosity on mars to explore
whether it is suitable to be habitable, and this will solve the big problem and
human will not extinct. Well now, is money more important or human species
more impoartant?
( by the way, opposition point: you can say even I invest much money, they will
not be any development cause our science really sucks, we cannot travel
through light year and etc.)
Point 2: To bring in new innovation and benefits the humanity.

Having a lofty goal and an unexplored place to expand into is the deepest driver
of innovation that exists. Along the way, we will develop new technologies that
will enrich humanity on a day-to-day basis. We will set the bar higher than we
ever have, and we will find incredible business opportunities along the way. Just
look at the moon race, the number of technological spin-offs that resulted from
the program is staggering. If a technology is cordless, fireproof, automated, or
lightweight and strong, there is a good chance it was born at NASA. And this
doesnt just benefits space exploration, it benefits every single human being and
the environment. A few technologies that Nasa created during its process on
inventing for space exploration which benefited us by helping our environment.
Researchers at NASA Ames are conducting cutting-edge research in the
development of clean energy technologies for NASA mission needs in the
Exploration Systems Mission Directorate and the Science Mission Directorate.
1) Biofuels may provide a means to generate and store energy for NASAs
long-term human habitation and exploration missions. Biofuels also benefit
us here on Earth as a transportation fuel that reduces our dependence on
foreign oil and mitigates the generation of greenhouse gas emissions.
2) Researchers at NASA Ames are pushing the limits of solar energy
efficiency and weight by creating new materials that enhance solar energy
system performance. Our technologies for space-based applications also
provide Earth-based benefits, helping to drive down the cost of solar
energy with more efficient systems.
Well, we must say all space exploration brings many benefits, not just help
finding new planets for us, but helping us to solve the biggest challenge the
earth is facing now, global warming. We should and we shall invest more money
to space exploration because at last it is us who will get the largest benefits
Point 3: benefits us economically and helps protect our life here on earth.
How space exploration benefits us, and only us, human.
Famed British cosmologist Stephen Hawking sees only one way for humanity to
survive the next millennium: colonize space. And he's probably right.
In a lecture Tuesday in Los Angles, the 71-year-old Stephen Hawking said
humanity would likely not survive another 1,000 years "without escaping beyond
our fragile planet," according to the Associated Press. Hawking has long been an
advocate of space exploration as a way to ensure humanity's survival. Living on
a single planet leaves us at risk of self-annihilation through war or accidents, or a
cosmic catastrophe like an asteroid strike.
With space exploration robots and satelites, we dont just explore what is outside
the space, we protect and understand our World
NASAs Earth Science division helps us understand the fantastically complex
world that we live on.

Studying other worlds like Venus and Mars teaches us how special our planet is,
and provides sobering examples of how the climates of planets can change.
NASA-funded research scans the skies for dangerous asteroids, and missions to
asteroids teach us how we might be able to divert them from a collision course,
should the need arise.
NASA does not launch buckets of cash into space. The majority of the money
spent on space exploration goes toward the salaries of thousands of skilled
American workers who make NASAs missions so successful. Robot does not cost
much, but the one who makes it earn a lot.
