Hyperthyroidism or Overactive Thyroid Gland refers to the over secretion of


thyroid hormone by thyroid gland .It is the opposite of hypothyroidism, as
the name suggests. It is a condition where in the thyroid gland increases in
size with abnormal secretion of thyroid stimulating hormone. It is defined by
weight loss, increased BMR and sensitivity to tremors. An overactive thyroid
