Africentrik Study Group

Constitution
1. Preamble
This is an organisation that researches any and all phenomenon related to Black people. The
Africentrik Study Group is a Black Nationalist, Pan Afrikanist and Afrikan Centred academic
society. We, the Afrikan students are still subjected to a Eurocentrik education that we
inherited from our colonial past.
As we argue and question the denial of ourselves and our stories in the context of the
university have frequently been failed. The idea is to mould Africans who have Eurocentrik
ideas, attitudes, opinions, tastes and desires who are ready to defend those thing that are
European even if they are antagonistic towards Africans. Every subject in the curriculum of
the Eurocentrik University is permeated with white supremacy; a student completes the
curriculum to his or her psychological peril. Afrikan students must unite and engage
themselves in an intellectual warfare, against academic imperialism and strive for an Afrikan
centred education.

2. Motto
Man, know thy self.

3. Name
The name of this academic society shall be the AFRICENTRIK STUDY GROUP.

4. Colours
Colours shall be RED, BLACK, and GREEN.
Red for blood that unites all people of Black Afrikan ancestry shed for liberation.
Black for Black people whose existence as a nation is affirmed by the existence of the
flag.
Green for the abundant natural wealth of Afrika.

5. Aims and Objectives

1. Engage the Afrikan students in self-study and research on Africentrik literature and
academic research.
2. To wage an epistemic revolution against European cultural hegemony and white
supremacy in our universities curriculum.

curriculum as part of decolonisation of Afrikan universities.
4. To commit ourselves to correcting historical distortions.
5. To question the imposition of white Supremacist view as universal or classical
6. Legitimise Afrikan forms of knowledge.
7.

6. Mission
To research any and all phenomena related to Black people. And to use our findings to come
up with a strong argument and a rational for an Afrikan cantered education as the most
legitimate form of education for Afrikan students than the existing Eurocentrik curriculum
which was meant to miseducate and colonise the Afrikan mind.

7. Vision
Since institutions of so-called higher learning in Azania were based on white supremacy, it is
our vision to see Afrikan University devoted to the cultures and practices of African people,
