The instrument is warranted for 12 months under
normal operating conditions (except battery). Users
should read manual carefully before first use and
operatecorrectlyaccordingtothemanual.

any one others not DEVISER or our authorized service

Safety Information
Power Supply
The LS200-Series Mini-Light Source operates with two
AA rechargeable batteries or non-rechargeable
battery.
Caution
1. Please pay attention to the pole of the
battery when you install the battery into your
instrument or the external battery charger.
Install the battery according to the pole
indicator.
2. If the battery level becomes too low, the unit
turns itself off.
3. Use only NiMH rechargeable batteries ONLY
with the same mAh rating otherwise damage
to the product may occur.

Laser Radiation
The LS200-Series light source emit laser radiation.
When the measurement is taking place, users should
avoid the eye exposure to the optical connectors.
After the measurement is completed, please put back
the optical connector cap. Measurement accuracy
could be influenced if the optical connector is
explored in the air for long time.

Introductions
LS200 series light source is qualified in optical
network, CATV and FTTX installation and
maintenance.
LS200 series Mini light source device cover the
following products.
LS200A --- with single wavelength light source
a. LS200A-A 1310nm
b. LS200A-B 1550nm
LS200B --- with double wavelength light source 1310nm
and 1550nm

Keypad and Operating

(1). LS200A:

LS200A-A LS200A-B Keypad

: Select this key to turn on/off the light source.
The unit displays the L when the laser source is off.
If the light source device is damaged or the battery
level is too low, the light indicator will be displayed,
but the output power shows "L" as well.
: Select this key to switch the output power
after turning on the laser source. ( +3 to -5dBm, 1dB
Step)
Select this key to switch the source output
modulation, which can be set to 270Hz, 1000Hz, and
2000Hz. (The source output modulation can only be
selected when the source output is turned on.)

LS200B Keypad
Select this key to turn on/off the light source.
The unit displays the L when the laser source is
closed.
If the laser source device is damaged or the battery
level is too low, the light indicator will be displayed,
but the output power shows "L" as well.
Select this key to switch the measurement unit
between dBm and mW.
Select this key to select the output
wavelengths from either 1310nm or 1550nm.
Select this key to switch the laser modulation
values, which can be set to 270Hz, 1000Hz, and
2000Hz.
(The source output modulation can only be selected
when the source output is turned on.)

NOTE: LS200B has a stationary output power; the

typical value is -3 dBm.

Special Functions
Automatic shutdown time
To save battery power, the unit can be set to shut-off
automatically when it is inactive for 10 minutes.
If hold the
key and press the Power on/off key
simultaneity, the automatic shutdown function will
be closed.

Optical adapter
Output port is the FC / PC optical adapter, if the other
adapter requirements, please declare.
