Manav Ekta Divas, April 25, 2010 - A Report

The Sant Nirankari Mission celebrates Human Unity Day (Manav Ekta Divas) every year
on 24th April to pay homage to saints who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Truth and
human values. To celebrate this day Tracy chapter of Sant Nirankari Mission, USA
organized a Sewadal Rally event followed by a spiritual congregation on Sunday April
25th 2010.

Sewadal rally started at 10am at the back of the bhawan hall. Sewadal rally was presided
by Rev. Dr. Rai ji, Rev, Dev Raj ji and Rev. Tejinder Singh ji (up-mukhya sanchalak of
sewadal, in charge of head quarters). Rev. Sooch ji escorted the three presiding saints to
the stage where they were greeted by sewadal band. Rev. Dhillon ji conducted the
proceedings of the sewadal rally. The rally started with “Prarthana – Hey Satguru hey
bhagwan” geet. Following that sewadal members displayed six PT exercises. That was
followed by games. There was a lemon and spoon race, three leg race, sandesh
(message), tug-of-war and moving wooden pieces step by step. Gents, ladies and children
sewadal members all participated in the games. After the games there was “marching geet
– Na Hindu na Sikh Isaiah”. Towards the end Rev. Ajit Sooch welcomed and thanked
the presiding saints and the sangat for joining in the sewadal rally. The rally was then
blessed by Rev. Dev Raj ji, Rev. Tejinder Singh ji and then by Rev. Rai ji. Dr. Rai ji
mentioned in his speech “Everybody is a winner”. There is true power in these words.
“Everyone is always a winner, there is no such thing as losers. By the accomplishment
shown today, everybody has showed 100% participation and is a winner!
After sewadal rally, all saints gathered in congregation hall. Spiritual congregation was
started with Avatar Bani verses. Sister Anu Narang conducted the satsang program. Rev.
Dr. Iqbaljit Rai (President, SNM, USA) was presiding. During satsang, saints spoke
about life of Baba Gurbachan Singh ji, Chacha Pratap Singhji and other worthy saints
who devoted their life for spreading the word of truth and god knowledge. Few saints
recited melodious devotional songs. Kids also participated enthusiastically by presenting
poems of great poets of the mission during ‘Kavi Darbar’ under guidance of Rev. Pali
Noor ji. At the conclusion of satsang, everybody listened to His Holiness Baba Hardev
Singh ji’s message sent from Delhi. Babaji’s message was for whole humanity and it
emphasized on need to spread love, compassion and universal brotherhood in today’s
times.
After the spiritual congregation everyone headed towards dining hall where volunteers
had made arrangement for langar (community lunch).

The Sant Nirankari mission celebrates human unity day and organizes blood donation
camps and health fairs as a tribute to his supreme sacrifice. SNM Tracy will be
conducting blood drive on May 9th as part of of this event as Delta Blood Bank doctors
were not available on April 24-25th.
