Class organization: Ss will work individually and in groups.Taking into
consideration the degree of disability of each student, the class will be devided
into three groups, GROUP 1-3 students, moderate level, GROUP 2- 1 student,
mild disability level, GROUP 3 - 6 students, profound disability level
Description of the class:
This class consists of 10 special educational needs boy students, aged 16,17.
They can be characterised as it follows: they all present developmental disabilities, which
are usually classified as profound, moderate , mild (deficien mintal, grad de handicap
accentuat, mediu sau usor), learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, dyslexia
associated with communication difficulties, lack of self-esteem and self-advocacy skills
Teaching methods: explanation, conversation, gap filling exercises
Recent work: students have been studying the ways to express time, but as their memory
functions on very short basis, it is necessary reinforce the new language.
Possible problems:
Due to the fact that most of these students suffer from emotional disorders, it may be
possible that they feel overwhelmed by the situation.In this case I will constantly offer
support and encouragemnt,and if necessary change the plans, and skip to another activity,
which will be suitable at that time.
