Development Coordinator

Position Expectations
ElderHelps Development Coordinator is organized, accurate, thorough, and works with a high attention to detail.
The Development Coordinator is deadline oriented and understands a culture of philanthropy.
POSITION SUMMARY
PART-TIME POSITION: The Development Coordinator works under the guidance of the Director of Philanthropy as
part of a team to support all development activities.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Philanthropy
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Social Media and Website
Assists with creating and posting social media content including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and any other
media forms
Assists with creating written content for the website and has knowledge of Word Press
Assists with creating content for Constant Contact
Events
Provides the support to the Director of Philanthropy with all event details including committee support,
tracking status of sponsorships and auction items, data entry and other administrative support as directed
Direct Mail
Helps to administer, plan and implement direct mail processes
Works with mailing house to communicate mailing needs, prices, and ensures mailing house has all
components of the mailing
Ensures timely and appropriate acknowledgement of gifts as needed
Provides oversite and support to office volunteer responsible for thank you letters, which includes proofing
Donor Perfect codes and all correspondence.

General
Develops and maintain effective working relationships with donors, volunteers etc. to nurture a connection
to ElderHelp
Assists with any other administrative duties as directed by the Executive Team
Other duties as assigned
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires a person of demonstrated integrity, accountability, dependability, maturity and
professionalism. The individual should be highly proficient at written and verbal communication and possess strong
planning and problem-solving skills. While being a highly organized independent worker, the individual should be a
team player able to represent the agency with professionalism and tact in all situations. Ideal candidate has strong
computer skills with knowledge of Constant Contact, Donor Perfect and Word Press as well as Microsoft Office. It is
essential that the candidate is detail and deadline oriented.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Ideal candidate must
have a minimum of 3 years experience in marketing, development, or related field. Experience providing
administrative support preferred.
