INTRO TO SUCCESSFACTORY
EXERCISE 1 - SuccessFactory Log-In
1. Access SuccessFactory through the URL:
https://successfactory.successfactors.com/xmltool/loginv.do
2. Your username is your email address.
3. To receive a system-generated password, use the forgot password feature.

2. Company ID = SFUtrain## (plus the numbers of your assigned instance for training)
3. Username (see training org chart). Login as manager.
4. Passwords will be communicated when you are given your training instance
5. Review the Route Map/Workflow steps. Hover over the workflow steps to understand
the roles in the performance process.

Part 2:
1. Select the NEW Training Goal Plan.
2. Update the Plan ID (8) . Note that this Plan ID # should be a new #, otherwise you
risk overwriting an existing Goal Plan.
3. Update the Plan Name. Rename it to Title of Your Choice (example: SF Training
Goal Plan) if not already listed.
4. Update the Plan Start and Plan Due Dates to the new year.
Select the Save Configuration button.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
EXERCISE 7 - Import form template into SuccessFactory Import
Form from server
1. In SuccessFactory, go to the Performance Review section.
o Important: If you try to load a PM form when in the Goal Management section,
you will receive an error message.
2. Click Import Form From Server.
3. Supply the Environment (salesdemo4), Company ID (SFUtrainXXX), Admin Username
(admin), and Password.
4. Select the form titled 2009 Performance and Development Plan. Recommendation:
Take a print screen of the Form Templates for future reference.
5. Select Download.
6. Notice that the form template is now listed under your Own Templates.
7. Make a copy by clicking the Copy link next to the title. Rename the title to Title of
Your Choice (example: SF Training PM Form.)
8. Open up the form template in SuccessFactory and begin exploring. We will make
changes in the next exercise.
Introduction Section
Select Add Section > Introduction.
Position the section where you would like and give the section a name.
Add Introduction Text in this section that explains the review process and
instructs the users on how they should proceed.
d. Add a link to the SuccessFactors website.

7. Did you make any other changes in SuccessFactory before you exported the
template? Look for them and make sure they are correct.
8. Delete this form.
9. (If time permits) Lets make one more change and test. Follow these steps:
a. Log into SuccessFactory and access the Training PM form under the
Performance Review section
b. Remove Division from the Employee Information section
c. Save
d. Export to Server

expected, you are done with this exercise. Congratulations!

9. Ensure that you associate your rating scale to this section (Section Scale).
Remember to use the exact name of your rating scale and that it is case and space
sensitive.
10. Save your configuration changes.
11. Re-upload your re-configured form template by clicking Export to Server.
12. Log in to your instance and create a new form for Manny. In this section you
should now just see the competencies with the category of Management.
13. Route the form until you can see the ratings scale and ensure that the one you
created is reflected in the form.
14. If everything works as expected you have completed the exercise. If not, repeat the
steps until it works!
