Network Administrator
Berwick Offray is a leading provider of decorative ribbons, bows, gift wrap, gift bags and tissue. Our corporate
headquarters in Berwick , PA is currently recruiting for a Network Administrator to join our team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, configure and maintain the hardware, operating systems and non-business applications of servers and
networks (wired and wireless) in accordance with established SLAs (Service level Agreements).
Administer servers and networks ensuring users have secure access to approved resources. Periodically review
user access for accuracy and security validating and updating where and when appropriate.
Measure, analyze and report on the resource utilization, and capacity of operational servers and networks (wired
and wireless), make recommendations and implement changes and upgrades to maintain or improve system
performance.
Perform preventative maintenance on servers, network and communications equipment in accordance with vendor
or department procedures.
Plan, coordinate and perform server and network changes and upgrades in accordance with pre-established
procedures.
Maintain the configuration of systems and network components, enterprise wide, in the configuration management
database.
Analyze project requirements and pertinent technical information, develop recommendations including alternate
solutions and where appropriate develop implementation plans and install and configure the solution.
Assist in the maintenance of technical service procedures and department documentation.
Under the general guidance of the Supervisor, Systems Administration, analyze complex (Level III) system and
networking problems, develop and document solutions and coordinate their implementation according to preestablished procedures.
Develop procedures and automated solutions to support the customer service operation.
Assist in the maintenance of systems and networking standards.
Stay abreast of current technologies within area of responsibility, identify and recommend mainstream
technologies and solutions to enhance the customer service operation.
Evaluate, test and prepare detailed reports and recommendations for new technologies and solutions.
Other work as assigned
High school diploma or GED required. Formal training in computer hardware, software and networking obtained
from an Associates Degree, Technical School , or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent

combination of education and experience highly desirable. MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), MCSE (Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer) and A+ certifications preferred. Three to four years of hands-on infrastructure
experience needed. Prior experience supporting a minimum 200 seat Windows 2000/XP and AS/400 environment.
Solid understanding of Intel servers, local and wide area networks, e-mail, Active Directory and remote access and
control software. Intermediate proficiency with MSWord, MSExcel, MSOutlook and PowerPoint. Project
management experience.
