Introduction

Allegiance Cargo Advantage, INC. (ACAI),is a wholly-owned subsidiary of

Universal Storefront Services Corporation USSC the owner and operator of RCPI
storefronts in the country. Its main office and warehouse are located at Building 2-B,
Sunblest Compound, KM-23, West Service Road, Cupang, Muntinlupa. ACAI became
operational in the first quarter of 2005 in answer to the needs of a growing international
cargo service based in the US for a dependable and trustworthy Philippine counterpart
to complete the door-to-door delivery of balikbayan boxes all over the country.
ACAI proved its mettle as a worthy Philippine partner and the company showed
consistency in persevering to fulfill the quick deliveries of every balikbayan box that was
shipped. Two years thence, Allegiance Cargo's customer base grew as did its logistics
mastery for the door-to-door and freight forwarding businesses.
ACAI is now a full-blown forwarding company with operations in Luzon, Visayas
and Mindanao through its regional offices in Cebu, Davao and Cagayan de Oro run by a
cadre of dedicated officers and employees, accountable to a board of directors
comprised of accomplished and distinguished individuals from the fields of
management, finance and law, respectively.
Allegiance Cargo Advantage a subsidiary of Universal Storefront Services
Corporation (USSC), formerly Radio Communication of the Philippines Inc. (RCPI), was
born out of the need by an international cargo service provider for a dependable and
trustworthy Philippine counterpart to complete the door-to-door delivery of balikbayan
boxes all over the country. That was in first quarter of year 2005. Today, Allegiance
Cargo with its experienced board of directors and officers has already built up solid
logistics expertise in the door-to-door and freight forwarding business.

Statement of the Problem

This research aims to find out the problems facing Allegiance Cargo Advantage,
INC.
Specifically, it sought to answer the following specific questions:
1. What can improve the system in which make the process more efficient?
2. What can we do to maximize space of the storage?
3. What is the most common reason of the delay?
Hypothesis of the Study
There should be a racking system to maximize the space of the storage and SOP
is truly needed to lessen delay in loading and unloading.

Scope and Limitations

The researchers focused on monitoring the activity inside the warehouse and the
production system.
The study will not focus on budget.
The study will not focus on other departments, other than production and warehouse.

Significance of the Study

This study could help the following:
1. Mangers: this study could help managers identify the problems they are
facing in the company and possible solution for them.
2. Operation department: this study could make the process move more
efficiently and smoothly.
3. Research: this study could be used as abases for future researches
conducted in the company.
