Bicycle Mechanic - I volunteer with the Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition to help fix bicycles and
give maintenance advice to anyone interested.
Gardener - I helped install a pollinator garden equipped with irrigation at the Fairview Educational
Gardens in Goleta, CA. I have spent hours in the farm growing and harvesting to learn the techniques of feeding small communities.
Private Tutor - Ive worked with several students one on one in subjects like Java programming,
statistics, algebra, and calculus.
IT Support - A technical resource for colleagues and family friends. Ive helped debug software
and hardware issues in different environments.
Website Consultant - I advised several clients using web tools to help with website design, so they
can equip themselves rather than rely on outsourced coding.
TECHNICAL SKILLS and PROFICIENCIES
Programming efficient and elegant software, and maintaining easy to read documentation in the
most appropriate languages.
I have utilized high level languages, like Python, Java, C++, and web architectures like AJAX, PHP,
XML, and HTML to varying degrees.
Machine level coding, like x86, ISA implementations on FPGAs via Xilinx, and everyday bash scripting are also part of my repitoire.

I have worked with parallelization using pthreads, openmp, and CUDA.
