I. Introduction
A. Definition
My Shades is a shade worn on the head or forehead to shield the eyes from overhead light but
can be also be used during night.
B. Description
My Shades is the worlds first mobile, convenient, and multipurpose eyewear. It has its own built in camera, video recorder,
night vision, infrared camera, and x-ray vision camera. It has
also comes in with its own SD card so that pictures and videos
can be stored.
This device suited for all types of hobbies and professions. It is
suited especially for surgeons, soldiers, astronomers, journalist
and even parents who want to record their kids birthday
parties.
Charging this device will not be ten-second thought processes for it willautomaticallycharge its
batteries using it solar cell panel or the body temperature of the user.
This also comes with a durable hard plastic frame so that accident drops (at most 5 feet high) will
not damage the internal parts; but do take care of the lenses for it is made up of any typical
camera lens.
With its infrared technology, astronomers can now conveniently observe stars and nebulas that
are invisible in ordinary light due to the fact that infrared radiation is not scattered by
atmospheric haze.
Not only that, it can also take infrared photographs by holding the red button for two seconds.
Developed about 1880, infrared photography has become an important diagnostic tool in
medicine science, agriculture and industry. Use of infrared technique reveals pathogenic
conditions that are not visible to the eye or recorded to x-ray plates.
In agriculture, its used to detect insects and diseases damage to large agriculture areas and to
locate minerals deposits. In industry, infrared spectroscopy forms an important part of metal and

alloy research, and infrared photography is used to monitor quality of products. Now thats
something that even apple cant capitalize on!
C. Function
My Shades doesnt only make you look more handsome or pretty but it can also used for taking
pictures, used for video recording, used during nighttime and also for infra red and x-ray vision.

II. Party-by-party description

1. Power button
Power button turns off or on the device. You can see that it is turned-on, when the screen shows
the battery status and the time at the upper right corner of the glass screen.
2. Solar cell panel
Solar cell panel is a device that converts the energy/light of the sun to electricity to make the
machine work. It also charges the built in battery to make it functional during night time, or in a
place where theres no sunlight. The Casio Company that produces calculators has built in solar
cell panel on some of their products.
3. Infrared (red button)
Infrared is a device that detects heat and converts it into electronic signal, which is then
processed to produce thermal image on the screen. It can calculate the heat detected by the
infrared. Some example uses of it are at the airports this can detect if people coming from other
countries havehigh fevers. (Note: letter I is shown in the upper left corner of the screen if the
infrared is on)
4. X-ray scanner (black button)
X-ray is a powerful invisible ray that can pass through various objects and that make it possible
to see inside things such as the human body. Example application of this are in airports they use
it to know whats inside the luggage of a passengers without opening it. (Note: letter X is
shown in the upper left corner of the screen if the x-ray is on)
5. Night vision (white button)
Night vision is a device that allows you to see in low light condition or during night time. (Note:
letter N is shown in the upper left corner of the screen if the night vision is on)

6. Screen
Screen displays activated button features.

III. Conclusion /Summary of the main points

A. Operation of the machine
To make the device functional, the on and off button should be press first. The non-appearance
of a green light on the button means the device is still turned off. Press one button at a time since
the device cant do multi-function at the same time. Make sure to turn off the device after using
to save energy and avoid overheating which cause some of its parts to be destroyed.
B. Operation by the machine
The device can do the functions listed above dueto a tiny chip place on it. It can perform this
function because of the stored energy that is taken from the sun light. How this chip can do this
work and how it is made is still confidentialas stated by the designers of it.
