Students will:

Understand how to identify different notes and coins


Understand how to use money in a real life situation
be able to understand the concept of using money to purchase and item as well as receive
change for the item

Assessment
Criteria (2 or 3 match to indicators)
Students will:

Successfully identify all Australian notes and coins


Successfully use money to purchase an item using correct numbers
Successfully identify correct change needed

Each student will fill out their work sheet
Students will have time to resolve these question and discuss the strategies they have used
Students will work to show how to solve the questions

Early Finishes Extension Activities


Early finishes can design their own questions with money

Closure 10mins

Students will pack up their work and tables and come back to the floor
Students will work together to get up and explain their question and how they answered it
